Great for 42" OLEDs
Needed to get an adapter VESA plate for my LG 42" C2, but it supports the weight of it effortlessly. Very easy instructions, and very good build quality

Monitor arm works great!
This monitor arm is very sturdy and seems to have no trouble with my 43 inch screen. I attached it to an Uplift desk with no issues and it really helps make the whole desk look amazing!

Holds 42" TV Well.
It holds my 42" LG OLED TV that I am using as a monitor. Feels solid, and likely will last a long time. Had to get an adapter plate to attach to unusual VESA pattern on the TV, however.

Why use a factory stand?
Why use the factory stand with your ultrawide monitor when you can use the Ergotron HX monitor arm instead? IMHO, it’s that good! To be fair, I hide a lot of computers and peripherals behind my monitors and need to get behind the monitor frequently to change/swap cable or peripherals and to undock a laptop for

I purchased this one based off of some of the positive reviews I read and I am glad I did. The arm is very well built and works perfectly. You can tell that it will be able to handle a lot of weight. With this arm, I just effortlessly swing the monitor out of the way but had to pick up the monitor to move it and work behind it with the factory stand - ultrawides aren’t light. If you have a similar use case, I recommend this mount. All of the alternatives I found were either mast mounted or did not have the articulation of this one

For my use case I wanted my laptop to be open with the monitor (40" ultra wide) positioned just able the laptop screen. It was a little difficult to tell from the measurements, but it works well for that format.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this This is clamped on very securely to my desk and I can use it in a room where the screen is not just for my computer but acts is a streaming mechanism for people sitting on my couch or at the table in the other direction. It looks good and for something so substantial is actually pretty unobtrusive. And it just feels strong. My 43 inch monitor does not challenge it in the least. I truly believe it was worth every penny.

The price wasn't the lowest but a slightly more expensive purchase is better than a purchase that isn't available for 3-4 months. I used the live to chat to verify that the product was physically in-stock and I was very happy with the interaction. It was shipped IMMEDIATELY and arrived very quickly. This monitor is large and heavy and expensive which drove my search for a quality arm. The Ergotron HX met those requirements. It's very heavy duty and easy to assemble. I am able to move and rearrange the monitor and no matter the position it stays in place and feels solid.
