Rated 5 out of 5 bySilverback from It worked greatThis adapter was used to connect an old court reporter's steno machine to a modern laptop. I had to get from the db9 connector on the steno machine to the laptop and the only port available was a USB port. This did the trick and worked fine.

I utilize it at home to practice with my Cisco 851W router and at work to configure the Cisco 2960/G switches in the infrastructure. It works great every time and connects just as it would if attached to a real serial port.I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!
