Strong, fast, easy-to-use product once set up, but . . .
Set up on a network is needlessly difficult. The menu system is typical Canon (that is, unintuitive and with menus labeled at random; weak web interface). But unlike its better predecessor, the Scanfront 400 does not have a simple and obvious "Send From" field right up front, the lack of which had our IT team scratching its collective head for a week before finally calling a Canon rep (who was great) who solved our "Emailed scan stopping at mail server and dying there" problem that resulted. In fact, I could not tell you what this scanner does better.
Once set up, it is fast, quiet, obvious in its use, and our users love it, so there's that. I guess I would recommend it, but if you can get a 220 for half the price, I say go with that.
