prints great, but clogs constantly and then stops
Had about 1 year. Print quality/color is great, but nozzles are clogged constantly, forcing me to run "clean" cycle. This wastes TONS of time and ink. If I want to print something, I want to print it NOW, not in half an hour after repeated cleaning cycles to unclog nozzles! To make matters worse, after a many cleaning sessions of spitting ink to clear nozzles, you get error 5b00 (ink absorber full - which shuts the whole thing down completely and requires you to take the thing in to be "repaired" - you have to pay someone to take the thing apart, replace the absorber, and reset the "page count" so it will print again. Called Canon Support and they do not have any recommendation for who can do this (no preferred repair people). No way to do it myself unless I trust youtube guys with sketchy download instructions. If you're going to have nozzles that clog every couple of months, then at least make the fix an easy routine maintenance procedure, not a repair shop problem. Bad enough that the clog&cleans waste the ink (and money) I hoped to save with the tank system - now I have "repair/maintenance" cost to replace absorber too! Only a year old and I may just trash it instead of trying to fix this as it will be cheaper, though I hate such wastefulness. UNHAPPY WITH PRODUCT! Will NOT buy Canon again.

Worst Printer Ever
Purchased this printer 3 months ago and I deeply regret it. Print heads will not align and the printer jams every time I try it. It also tells me there is a paper jam every time I try to print a document with more than one page. Graphs and tables print poorly because of the misaligned print head.

Clogs often then quit completely
Worked great for about half the ink supply. Then the black ink would start clogging and require cleaning about 1x per week. Eventually the black quit printing completely and after several deep cleaning attempts (depleted all color ink in doing so it would still not print. Of course it happened out side the warranty period. In the end I didn't save any money on ink!

Good Print Quality; Poor longevity
This is my second PIXMA G3200, they both have lasted about two years when I get the error 5B00, absorber full. The print quality and quantity is great. I am disappointed that they only last a couple of years before the non user replaceable absorber fills. Another throw-away product that is not made to last.

Great for a year then it Died!
Went a year and 4 months before 1 tank was emptied as soon as a filled it and topped off all the others I was able to print about 19 pages then it locked up with an error msg to seek service and there it sits. Calling cannon yielded absolutely no solution as I did not purchase the 2 year or 4 year service plan with in 90 days of purchase they offered no other help in locating a service center or suggest anything. Ever buy a canon printer with out the service plan I guess!
16 months once it runs out of ink throw it in the trash and think about another brand! Absolutely ridiculous!

Ok- missing key features
I have had this printer for 6 months. I really like the large ink well feature, over using standard ink cartridges. It prints fairly quickly but is very noisy. Unlike other reviews I have had no issues with clogged print heads whatsoever. Printed images are very good but not excellent as I had expected.
I do love that I have printed over 2000 sheets on it, mostly colour documents for my business, and the ink is not even down to half. I do find I need a heavier weight paper if I am putting colour on both sides so it doesn’t show through.
What I don’t love about this printer:
- doesn’t print double sided automatically. My computer is in another room so it is super annoying to have to go turn the paper over and then go back to the computer to give it permission to keep printing. You can’t even push the print button from the printer to allow it to continue.
- it can’t connect via AirPrint!! It will print wirelessly from my computer but if I want to print from my iPad I have to use their app- which is super annoying. Who makes a printer in this day and doesn’t allow AirPrint capacity?
- you can’t set it to photocopy more than one sheet at a time. If I want five copies of the same document, I have to stand at the printer and push the button five times! A very basic LED display would benefit.
I thought I had done enough research before making my investment last summer but I am regretting the choice I made.

BEWARE: This is NOT an "All-In-One" printer
This printer is stated to be an "All-In-One" tankless printer on Canon USA website. However, it is not obvious from the description on the Canon website that this printer does not have a fax function or automatic document feeder. The printer should NOT be considered "All-In-One", and promoting it as such is very misleading.

Canon, you have lost a lifetime customer...
Pros: good print quality, ink tank
Cons: You will replace it before the year is out, so you're really not saving money with this ink tank printer as you will be buying one again in the not too distant future.
Cheap build, does NOT feel solid at all.
Customer Service is atrocious to non existent, assuming they even pick up your calls (been holding for 30 minutes now, and 45 minutes before that when I re-attempted the call. I have had to call in multiple times in the "life-span" of this printer, and the infinite hold loop is something I have experienced before with Canon.
Print heads need CONSTANT cleaning as they clog continuously.
Easily one of the worst consumer experiences I have had in a while.
Canon, you have lost a once LOYAL customer, I will never purchase a single item from you again. I will now regard the word Canon as a warning label from her on out.

Disposable printer-not eco friendly at all
I loved this printer at first and loved the idea that I could pour ink refills into it rather than buying ink cartridges (more eco-friendly, I thought!. After two years of very light use (less than 10 pages per week) I've used only half of the ink that came in the box but got error code 5B00 telling me the waste ink reservoir is full. When I called Canon, the technician told me that the printer is now trash and my only option is to buy a new one. Not exactly the eco friendly option I was hoping for. My next printer will not be one of these.

Planned obsolescence!
Printer is less than 2 years old, not heavily used. There is a part (according to Canon customer support that absorbs waste ink and can fill up -- it supposedly costs $7 directly from Canon, but Canon Parts doesn't sell it! The only option they offer is to buy a new printer -- for the failure of a $7 part!

Poor preforming G3200 Printer
This is the worst printer I have ever owned. The first few months I owned it worked fine. First the ink nozzles clogged and it was close to impossible to make them work. The paper feed rarely works which makes this printer pretty much useless. By the time I finally get the paper to feed, the printer forgets what it was I wanted to print, then the cycle starts over. I can't remember when I've been more disappointed and frustrated with anything.

Printhead clogged and Unremoveable
I loved this Pixma G3200 for a year until the printheads for yellow and red got clogged. I have been doing the deep cleaning procedure over and over again but they remain clogged except for the blue. I have googled how to remove the printhead to to wash with water as other printers one could do but it seems the Pixma G3200 printheads are unremoveable. Does this mean once the printhead is clogged the printer is useless? This is a major drawback if the printhead cannot be removed.

Excellent Printer, love the MegaTank Ink feature!
I received a sample of the Canon Pixma G3200 to review and after I received the printer and took it out of the box, I was pleasantly surprised at how lightweight and somewhat smaller than other all-in-one printers that I have owned in the past. The set up was extremely easy and the instructions were very user friendly. I really like the convenience of the bottles of ink to fill the printer’s reservoirs. It was very easy to fill each reservoir and there are see through windows for each color. I have not seen this idea before. I was able to connect to my laptop and phone with ease. The colors are very solid and bright. I made several greeting cards with the program that comes with the printer. I have used it quite a bit since I received the printer and the ink is still quite full in the reservoirs. I would highly recommend this printer.

Amazing Print Quality
Received the Canon Pixma g3200 free to try out and review and spent the past week using it for all of my household printing. The print quality is amazing for both documents and pictures. I have been printing things off both for necessaity and also just to see the printer`s capabilities and am not disappointed.
However, the printer was extremely difficult to set up and use. I consider myself fairly savvy when it comes to technology and had no problems setting up my old printer (not a Canon) and could print through WIFI anywhere in the house. The Canon required an app to connect to devices and I`ve had to reconnect it a few times. I`ve also had to go to the printer to take it out of `sleep` mode in order to print documents. Minor inconvenience for the quality and I absolutely could have done something wrong in set up so I am not sure I can fault the Canon for this. It just makes print jobs a little more time consuming than they were with my old printer.
Overall - amazing quality but a bit complicated to set up!

I should first of all mention that I was sent this free sample for review: the Canon Pixma G3200 all in one printer came with easy instructions for installing the ink and carthridges. Once all said and done, I was never able to connect the printer to WiFi. That was a disappointment after trying for well over an hour. Great printer!
SO I'll start off by saying that I received this printer for free in exchange for an honest review. I received the box last week and didn't actually get to it until this past week because I assumed it would be too much to set up and all. However I was quick to realize that it was very simple and smooth. The print quality and time it took to print the page, whether black and white or color, was very reasonable. Like other Inkjet printers, this one was up there with all that it brought. Given that Inkjet's are known for being inexpensive but the cartridges hurt your wallet over time, I was really surprised to learn that this comes with re-fillable ink tanks. I thought to myself how was this not a thing already? great printer overall and another Canon product did a superb job. The wireless feature was a great cherry on the top, as these days we all want something for mobile printing. Anything without is not up to par

WOW! Amazing Inkjet printer/awesome print quality
I received the Canon Pixma G3200 free to try and review.
I was able to test this printer for a little over 2 weeks and I would like to say: Definitely impressed!
I have always been using laser printers so this will be the first inkjet printer:) I always thought inkjets will be much more expensive and never went that route...
but after printing extensively (on good quality photo paper) for 2 weeks... the ink supply hasn`t diminished a bit yet! Wow! pleasantly surprised with the fact!
and the design is extremely sleek and slim so its definitely a space saver! and its relatively quiet while printing so thats definitely a plus!
1 downside I see regarding this is instead of using cartridges... i have to pour my own ink:) Definitely a fun experience... but i would imagine some would have a hard time if they don`t have a steady hand.
The setup was a breeze and being to print directly from my phone is AWESOME!
The print quality is also amazing!
I would rate this printer 4 stars with 1 star taken off for needing to pour your own ink.
The design is great/Print quality is great/Easy to setup/Easy to print!

Was Able Finally to Remove Printhead to Wash
I google Remove Canon Pixma G3200 print head and there was a Thai Youtube video showing how to remove the printhead. I don't speak Thai but I could see how it was done. I removed the color printhead C and making sure I did not have water touch the array of metal contacts, I submerged the printhead length wise vertically in a narrow container of warm water and left it to soak over night. In the morning, I removed the printhead from the water, dabbed it with a soft tissue paper -- not the metal contacts -- and left it to totally air dry. Once dry, I put it back in the printer, closed the latch and pressed down the 2 turquoise tabs, pushed the carriage to the right to its stationary position and turned on the printer to do a deep cleaning by pressing the alarm button down for 3 light flashes and waited for it to clean until the power light stopped flashing. The I pressed the alarm button for one light flash and the printer printed out a perfect color test sheet. Finally unclogged printheads by removing them and soaking them from the printer. Google to find the Thai Youtube video even if to don't know Thai. Canon should provide instructions on how to remove printheads and to soak clogged printheads as it is easy.

Still love this printer after 3 months
We have had our PIXMA G3200 printer for 3 months now and absolutely love it. With both my wife and I using it, I can see we have used about 1/3 of the black ink tank, 1/4 of yellow and magenta, and 1/6 of blue. If this printer were cartridge-based instead of megatank-based, we would have replaced or refilled cartridges multiple times by now. I love the megatanks and their inexpensive cost!
One excellent thing I have noticed is despite lots of use, we have never had a single paper misfeed. The printer always feeds in exactly one sheet of paper at a time, which with previous printers was occasionally a problem, and therefore a big concern to me when doing manual duplex printing of large documents (100+ pages.
One thing I believe would improve the printer's convenience relative to duplex printing. Our printer is in my wife's office next to her laptop. My laptop is usually on a different floor in our house, which means when I manually duplex print something, I have to go upstairs, flip the pages over and reinsert them into the printer. No problem there; however, to get the printer to resume printing the second side of each page, I have to go back downstairs to click on "Start Printing" in the duplex printing dialog box, after which I have to go back upstairs to retrieve the printed pages. It would be very convenient if I could simply press the "Start" button on the printer to indicate it could print the second side of the pages instead of going back to my laptop to do so. This would be a great convenience feature!

Superior Quality!
I am impressed with the print quality of this printer. I've used it for regular printing and photo prints and I'm so happy with the quality of the printouts and photos. Canon did not disappoint! I received this printer as a free sample to test and review, so I didn't really know what to expect, but I have been pleasantly surprised. The one thing that caused me some hesitation initially was having to fill the ink compartments in the printer with the ink that came in the package(I am used to just cartridges. At first, I was skeptical because it seemed like it was going to be a lot of work, but it's actually not all that complicated. Once the printer initialized, it starting working smoothly from the first test page. It has only been a week, but the printer is working smoothly, and is pretty easy to use, so I think I lucked out with this printer!

Good for students or small business
I received this printer as a free sample as part of a survey in exchange for my unbiased and honest review. As a nursing student and also running a small business, I am always relying on a printer to help me through the day. I go through dozens, if not hundreds, of pages a week.
Printer arrived well packaged and securely boxed. The installation instructions were fairly clear and overall installation took about 1 hour. I was surprised that the USB/Printer cable was not part of the package. Only the power cable. This would be a bit of a headache if you wanted to set it up and did not have the cable yet.
I felt that the printer is a little bulkier than I would have expected for a new modern printer. Footprint is 17" x 15" x 6", so that is a significant chunk of space on a desk. I am personally not too fond about a rear-feed paper tray. Again it adds to the amount of space you need.
The loading of the ink was pretty easy and I do like that the ink comes in those big bottles and you do not have to clutter the environment with all these little cartridges. Extra point for the little knob where the ink reservoir stopper can be placed while filling. Also, extra point for the fact that you can lock the lid in place when open (like a car hood), so you don't have to hold it while accessing print heads, etc.
I only set the printer up with cable connection to the PC, so I can not speak to the WiFi connection. Printing works well and the quality is pretty much what you expect from an inkjet; I noticed no improvement or difference over any of my old ink printers. Copy function works well with single button command on the printer itself, so you do not need to have your PC running to use the copy function. Minor complaint: I think you should have an option as to the quality of the copy output, which my old printer has.
The scanning function is activated through a short cut menu and worked fine for me. No major complaints, but I have also only scanned docs and not yet any photos.
Overall, I would give this printer a solid 4 out of 5 stars. It does what I would expect from an ink jet printer. I do think it is a tiny bit too loud, especially when calibrating the print heads and it does take a bit too much room. However, the extra large ink supply and the speed are good features and it serves me well as a student and with business documents, such as invoices, etc.

Very Difficult to get on the network
I think I'll love the printer -- especially the ink tanks. But I must say, getting the darn thing on the network was quite a chore. The install procedure would see the printer, but then I'd get an error it couldn't connect. Tried everything, turning off ant-virus software, checking the router, etc. Finally, direct connect with a USB cable worked and wireless was configured okay. I spent over two hours trying to get the thing to work and almost took it back to the store. Not sure what the network issues were that prevented connection to the printer, but it sure shouldn't have been that hard!

Efficient!
I received the Canon Pixma g3200 in exchange for writing an honest review. This was a new concept to me since I've been using a cheap HP printer for the past 3 years. The HP printer itself was cheap and ink seemed to run out fairly quickly. The Canon however is totally blowing my old standard out the water. Setting it up took some time and I will admit that the first day I gave up completely. But the website was informative and soon I had it up and running. I really like how it's an all in one and does more than just print. It exceeds my expectations and it makes my home office run more efficiently. It is just a bit bulky, that's the only con.

a good, solid printer
I received the Canon Pixma G3200 printer to review and found it to be a good solid printer. I know Canon has a very good reputation and I was excited to finally have a printer I could rely upon. I have had an Epson and a HP and both were tempermental. Set up with this printer was different as the ink comes in bottles to fill the tanks within the printer, however there are also cartridges. Not sure sure if one method is more of a back up or not. Regardless, I do like that this has individual colors and not an all colors in one cartridge that seems to waste money. Installation on my laptop was not too bad as it came with the CD to help with the set up. The wireless connection actually worked on the first try. That is always the difficulty with other printers. My only downside is that it does not seem to have an AirPrint option for me to connect my iPhone or iPad. My daughter tried to connect her Mac Air laptop and that does not seem to want to connect either. Hopefully the software for this is forthcoming. Being able to print from my iPad is something I was really hoping for. For now I have it connected to my `normal` laptop and the printing seems to be reliable with quality output. Overall it seems to be a good, solid printer for now.

Still Loving it After 7 Months!
I used to be an HP person, but those days are over. The refillable ink feature convinced me to try a Canon 7 months ago, and I am so happy I switched. Besides saving significant money like I knew I would, the troubleshooting is so easy on-line! Mine started printing blank pages today, for the first time, and it took me all of 5 minutes to go to troubleshooting and fix it, first time as a novice..
There are a few things I wish were different. First, ordering directly from Canon means you have the hassle of packing, then waiting for shipping there and shipping back if it needs their service. They pay the cost and have pretty fast shipping, but its a disadvantage over being able to have geek squad come to your door same day. Hopefully I never have to do this. Also, you can't just click on a photo and print it. To receive good quality, you have to access the picture through your printer icon. Also wish it could be a little smaller for us space-cramped ones. Finally, tech support on weekends would be nice, though so far this is not an issue because the troubleshooting is so easy and clearly written.
Overall, I am delighted, considering it a great investment, and I'm a huge Canon fan now!

Sleek and space saving
I love love this printer - and not just because I received it as a free sample. I have actually owned two earlier models of this printer in previous jobs.
It is easy to use, but not as fast as a larger printer. I am willing to trade the speed for the space saving size of this sleek model, however. It prints clearly - no blurriness, even with very high res images. I work in a field where I do a lot of event planning and often need to print high volumes - this printer can handle it. The instructions are easy to understand even if you are a technophobe. I use this printer wirelessly with my phone and tablet and it is so convenient to not have to go switch to my desktop in order to print something!
I would definitely recommend this product - it has the mark of quality I have come to expect from Canon over the years.

Love the MegaTanks!!!
My PIXMA IP 4500 printer finally died and I started looking for another printer and tried Canon's online store. I was VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED to find the "MegaTank" printer series and how inexpensive MegaTank refills were, I was immediately sold and purchased one. I am very glad I did! I ordered the PIXMA G3200 Wireless from Canon and had it within a couple of days. It was very easy to set up except for the wireless part. Like others have said, I had to go to Canon's website to get complete instructions and before the printer found my WiFi access point and connected. I have been VERY pleased with the printer's printing. The pages look really good and print fast. I really like being able to see the ink levels without opening anything up. I also liked that the ink bottles exactly filled up the tanks and there was no spilling or anything; in fact, you have to squeeze the bottles to empty them in any reasonable amount of time, which I like (no spills). The wireless has worked flawlessly and the printer always starts up within 10 seconds of my or my wife's printing something from our laptops. When I used Windows 7's remote printing feature years ago with my IP 4500 printer, it would take minutes and print very slowly so I gave up wireless printing long ago. It is great to be able to use it again. There is only one downside to the printer and I have not minded it. I like to duplex print almost everything and often need to print multiple copies. Unfortunately, this MegaTank printer series does not offer an automatic duplex printing unit. Had I noticed that before I purchased the printer, it probably would have been a deal-breaker for me (although the inexpensive ink and large ink tanks were a HUGE draw), but after using this printer, I mind it much less. Besides, duplex printing where you manually flip the pages over to print the other side is actually faster than waiting for each individual page to dry. Overall, I am very pleased that at least one printer manufacturer has finally recognized that it is better to charge for the printer and not rip us off on the ink. I will be a fiercely loyal Canon printer customer because of this change in printer marketing!

Great Printer with difficult first time setup
I am a huge fan of Canon products. I have used Canon printers for years. This was the reason it was easy to agree to review the printer if they sent me a free sample. I will divide the review into sections to help you determine if this is the right printer for you.
DESIGN - 5 Stars
The design os the Pixma G3200 is where it truly stands out. Two features, in particular, are worth noting. 1. This printer has refillable ink tanks. You no longer have to purchase expensive cartridges every time you run out of in. The tanks also hold significantly more ink than the cartridges. Finally, you are using a lot less plastic with the refillable tanks, so you just became a bit more green. 2. For years most ink jet printers have fed the paper from the bottom. This has always been a nonsensical design flaw. Paper feeding should always come from the top so you are not fighting gravity. I expect this printer will last longer, misfeed less often, and not break as easily because the paper feeding system comes from the top back of the printers. Kudos to Canon for this design decision.
SETUP - 2 Stars
Setup, unfortunately, is an area that could be vastly improved. You are required to connect the printer directly to a Windows or Mac computer for initial setup. This should be fine for most, but the required printer cable is not provided. These cables have not changed designed for many years, so hopefully, you have one you can use for just a few minutes. You will download a small software package that will run you through the setup. However, this package does not easily connect your printer to your wireless network. I was forced to run setup three times before it prompted me to download a tool that easily connects you to your wireless network. If this was an option the first time you went through setup it would solve a lot of problems and reduce calls to customer support.
Connecting a Chromebook to the printer is another matter. It was also not easy. The instructions provided by Canon simply connected you to a Google web page that connected you to a Canon web page. The information contained on the page was basically useless. I spent over twenty minutes googling how to connect the printer to Google Cloud Print for my Chromebook. I did finally find instructions and it turns out it is ridiculously easy. You simply type Chrome://devices in your browser bar. You will see the printer at the top of the list with a button on the right-hand sign of the screen that says "register." Click the button and it will ask you to press the power button on the printer. Within about thirty second you should be connected.
Thankfully, printer setup is only a one-time experience, so the printer is still worth it for all the other reasons.
PRINTING - 5 Stars
The Pixma G3200 provides high-quality prints at a fast speed. Each page only took a few second and the printing was clear and easy to read. I had my animal loving daughter print out a number of cat pictures. They looked good. If you use photo paper you will be able to have photo quality pictures. For basic text it does a great job. Don't forget this printer has refillable tanks, so you cost per page printed will be significantly lower than previous ink jet printer you may have used.
Summary - 4 Stars
In the end, I love this printer and definitely recommend it. It has replaced my previous ink jet printer because of the high-quality prints, ease of use after setup, fantastic design, and cost of printing. If Canon gave clearer instructions on how to setup the printer for both Windows/Mac and Chromebooks I would rate the printer 5 Stars.

Happy to use Canon again!
The two main things I look for in a new printer is how difficult it's going to be during setup, and how long the ink is going to last me. After I received this printer to review I was pleasantly surprised to find that the first thing I noticed was that the printer came with the equivalent of 30 ink cartridges! If you can match A with A and B with B, the instructions are very easy.
My only suggestion is that you be very careful when you are loading your 30 ink cartridges worth of ink because there is one point where you are required to pour the ink into the printers on board permanent ink cartridges and if you don't have a relatively steady hand there is a chance that you could spill ink on yourself or your work space.
One of the best aspects of this printer is its versatility in where you want to print from. I was worried that it would be confused over where I wanted to print from. But the process was very simple and all the printer needs is an APP from the Play Store to communicate with to print from your phone (which is what I was most excited about). I was literally printing things via my Android smartphone within minutes after I setup the Wi-FI connectivity which was as simple as pressing the Wi-FI button on the printer and connecting it to my router. I feel like if this printer came with a stack of 30 pieces of printer paper, it would be more of an "All in One" printer for EVERY user level from Grandma to Grandson.

Planned self destruct
When I purchased this mega tank printer I was thrilled with the results and the ink savings with the large bottles of ink. About a month after the warranty ran out a waste ink tank full warning popped up and rendered the printer useless. I have never done a cleaning with the printer. There is no way that I can find for the consumer to reset,,has to be taken to a repair facility. I have used Canon printers exclusively for 20 years and never had this issue.

Smoother operator!
You can tell right away that a lot of thought and planning went into this product. You'll notice this as soon as you open the box. The instructions are placed in the box in a way that ensures they're easily found. Instructions are simple and easy to follow for even the beginners. Setting up the print was a breeze, including filling the ink tanks. I set my printer up with the wifi setting with no problems. Printed from my laptop with ease. Everything that I've printed so far has been great quality and quick. LOVE this printer. Worth the money. As the old adage goes: You get what you pay for. You're absolutely getting what you've paid for with this printer. I've already recommended this printer to family and friends. I should mention that I was sent a free sample to use for this review.

Nearly Impossible To Install
I've only had this thing for a few days. It was impossible to install wirelessly. I had to use a printer cable, which MIRACULOUSLY, I had. That worked, but, REALLY????? It still refuses to connect to my phone. RIDICULOUS. I will probly send this thing back.

DOES ITS JOB
I received a free printer to review.
This printer is a Canon, so it's great quality and the print quality really is spot on. My only complaint is that it takes a really long time to "wake up" from sleep mode when you're trying to print. Other than that, I love it.

Printer easy to operate, if you ignore huge manual
The first thing that I noticed after setup, was each time I turn the printer on, it is actually ready to print in a few seconds, just like my original Canon printer, a BJC 3010. It does not go thru a 2 or 3 min "Cleaning" (waste a lot of ink cycle, like the 4 Canon printers I had in between. I hope this means the "Waste Ink Tank" (felt pad(s) will last longer. But that is more of a software defect than reality.

Pluses and minusses
I was so excited when my printer arrived at my home. I got the ink installed easily. Then comes the actual installation of the printer to my computer. I had to read the paper directions and the disc because the pictures on the disc were a little confusing. Maybe some color would be good. Once I got it going, WOW! The black&awhile prints were really good. The color prints were even better. I have been printing things all the time.

It was good until it died after 14 months
I bought this printer about 14 months ago and it worked great until it didn't. First it was printing blank pages, then the dreaded yellow light came on, blinking 7 times. Apparently that is the death blink. I bought this for its great photo printing and it was for a while. I talked to canon tech and it was " buy a new one" For the price I would expect it to last quite a bit longer. The ink tanks lasted longer that the printer. So it didn't even last long enough to empty the tanks! I am very disappointed with it.

DO NOT PURCHASE UNIT. STAY AWAY
The printer worked good decent when first purchased. It was not used. The colored ink is still at 60-70% and the black ink is at 80%.
The printer failed and is not working. I have contacted service and chat, and their solution is "I need to purchase a new printer"
They claim because it was not used often the ink dried up and failed. This is a defective design that they will not acknowledge. This printer barely lasted more then a year with EXTREMELY minimum usage.
"t's designed to last several years. However, depending on how many cleanings are performed, the printer being unplugged or otherwise deprived of electricity, etc., the ink absorber can become saturated quickly"

COMPLETE GARBAGE
I bought this today and set it up exactly the way both video and instructions told me to. It took 90 mins to print 38 pages, and it just disconnected from WiFi randomly 3 times during the print job. It can’t print double sided, and forces you to work it from perhaps the most inept poorly designed app I’ve ever encountered. I DESPISE this product and am returning it immediately. Please spare yourself the migraine and don’t buy Canon products.

Printer didn't last as long as the ink
Purchased the printer in 2019, we haven't even used all the ink however, the printer now has a system error that cannot be fixed or repaired. The only option given was a discount on a replacement printer! Loved the printer until it stopped working.
