It was easy to order by phone, which was important to me because the website kept leading me astray, and I wanted to know if I could get any discounts by buying all four cartridges instead of just the black. She gave me free shipping so I bought all four.

Poor Ink Quality.
Doesn't work well. Printed less than 5 pages with clear print, then it started fading. Replacement acted the same way as well. Bought a Canon printer instead.

Requires long lead time required for short use time
These toner cartridges are not 1250 pages. Not even close. Furthermore they are only available online and can take several weeks, so you really need to keep spares on hand if you print regularly. But the price of the toner is about $200 for a full color set, twice the cost of the printer itself.
While the toner is costly and inconvenient the printer itself is fairly decent.

Replacement black laser cartridge
Excellent service. Delivered quickly. 1.250 copies per cartridge is a little high though. Be sure to have a spare on hand as when it gets low, it goes out fairly fast.

Black Ink Cartridge
The ink cartridges are rated at 1250 pages. Without any doubt my cartridge lasted about 1/2 that. I'm lucky if I got 600 pages. Dell's price for this printer is reasonable but the back-end cost for ink cartidges is costly since they don't last but 1/2 the expectancy.
