The magenta cartridge was not recognized when we put it in the printer. We bought a new magenta cartridge and it worked. Tried the original magenta back and it would not work.

It messed up my printer and I had to get assistance to reset my printer because of an error message that would not clear. It took over 12 hours for the printer to reset. I order new ink cartridges from some place else and had to go through another hour and a half to get my print back online and printing again. I was not happy with the process or spending money on damaged goods.

I bought genuine HP cartridges and it gave message something wrong with them. 3 sets of cartridges failed. 1 genuine HP set, and 2 refilled sets. Same thing happened with the HP 6510. Once HP updates the fermware for detecting after market cartridges, and use them. Genuine cartridges no longer will work either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable I have had my 11x17 all in one printer for over 10 years. Never had a problem with printing or ink supply tanks working and making good prints. I bought this printer for Engineering printing Tabloid dwgs from home office and printing color family pictures on glossy tabloid size paper. Never was able to get it to print within about 1" from the edges on tabloid paper. On color same problem, no edge to edge or thin border printing available so I never did color pictures. Also the ink tank life is very short. It will use all the color in 5 or 6 months even when printing only black or gray scale. I understand this is unavoidable if I want to keep the color lines and jets free and ready to do a quality print later. I did learn however not to change one tank at a time if another was less than 1/3 full. It goes through a wasteful head cleaning every time a tank is changed so better to waste a little of a second tank than a similar amount of all the others each time a tank is changed. Went through on line forums and didn't find a way to remove color tanks and just use Black. Scanner is great. Don't use FAX these days. Wanted OCR to text but haven't used it.

But I have to buy them because my computer won't print at all unless there are all good cartridges in it. Is there a printer that just does black? Maybe that's what I need. But sometimes I do want color for my computerized embroidery machine designs. oh well. Price ok. although it's been raised quite a bit since last year. I pretty much feel held hostage with printers.

Direct purchase from HP is easy and the product appears in my mailbox in just a few days. The Staples price is exactly the same at HP online. The only difference is that Staples gives my rewards for recycling the used cartridges with them. The recycling rewards coupons arrive and expire before I need more ink, so I am tempted to use the coupon to buy something I don't need, or especially to buy ink I don't need. Plus I have to organize a trip to Staples before the coupon expires. Plus I have remember to look for my coupon after I recycle - I found out recently that if I complain that I didn't get a coupon I should have, there is nothing Staples is willing to do about it. So, now I buy direct from HP.

That was a mistake!! The ink was not of quality and did not dry fast and I decided that it was not for me. I only use HP original ink cartridges and always will from now on. It`s my kind of ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Unhappy This is supposed to be on the Ink Cartridges. The Ink is FINE the PRINTER is Awful. I have 2 HP Printers and they both do the exact same thing. I keep getting error messages that the printer is "OFF LINE" and cannot print. I called HP support and was told I had to pay $19.95 for assistance. I wouldn't mind paying it if my problem was solved. IT WAS NOT!!!! I was told to do things to my router and my entire Wi Fi network went down. My WiFi is exceptional and all my other items function well. My HP PRINTERS DO NOT! I'm ready to toss them out and go to another brand.

Cartridges seem to dry out fast even when just sitting without activity. Cartridges also will pop out of the holder in the printer and will not seat properly when installing. I will spend more money for a better printer next time.

We don’t do a lot of printing and the ink tends to dry up very fast. Wish there was some way to prolong the life or a less expensive generic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great color, poor shelf life I use HP for decades but when I had to retire my HP950C when W10 arrived no drivers were forth coming form HP so I decided on a 6600 all in one. Printer works very well but the ink cartridges do not last long, that is I do not print much and one of more of the color cartridges goes low long before the shelf life ends. The last 933-3 Pak barely lasted just over 18 months and that was the XLs !

I wish, being82 on a fixed income the were cheaper. I have a 6700 premium printer which must be about 10 years old, do not use every day, but throw the switch on let it warm up and it prints as good as the day I purchased it. You design and cartridges are the combination that make this possible. Keep up the good work.

I tried removing it and shaking it, reinstalling it, and also spend over an hour following my printer's instructions on how to clean the heads (which I repeated about 9 times). Each time I cleaned it, the quality got a little better, but it still does not look normal and by now I've wasted about 20 sheets of paper from all the test prints). I needed to print something green yesterday and I had to settle for blue. Not super happy with my purchase, especially since I payed extra for the "original" HP ink cartridges.

Silly me! I wanted to print a document but much to my dismay, no joy! After several tries, I called Tech Services! After about 300 key strokes and installing, deleting and reinstalling Drivers 3 times and 35 minutes of my time, it does work. One would think that HP would just say: don't mess around with this printer just CALL TECH SERVICES AND THEY"LL install, delete and reinstall whatever is needed to make this thing work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchasing Ink Cartridges Has Never been so Easy Like most people I look for bargains.This was especially important because as a teacher(retired now) I always needed to create colorful eye-catching high interest reading for my high school science students. After I killed 3 bargain printers, which did not sit well with my thrifty side, I was in the marker for another printer I began researching printers and purchased a HP. While searching for printers I found several reports where off-brand bargain cartridges can clog your printer, probably what killed the first 3,.and not wanting to make it 4, I decided it was time to pay a little more for good quality ink. It would be worth the extra cost so-as- to get the most from my HP printer. So, I guess what I"m saying is that this is a super easy ink service. Give it a try if you haven't already and. remember to use only Original HP ink for superior printing on all models of HP printers.

Upon receipt of the cartridges, we compared the on-line purchase price with a purchase (made several months ago) at a local Office Supply store and discovered a savings of nearly $30.00! Needless to say, we will continue purchasing directly from the HP on-line shopping site. Also, we received an email stating that our order was received... followed by another email notification that our order was shipped and when we could expect delivery! HP online shopping is a professional and economical way to shop! Oh yes...all of the color cartridges have provided bright and vivid images consistently. As a writer--it is always a pleasure knowing that HP products will provide crisp and colorful images for my detailed manuscripts---which often include photographs and charts. Thanks HP! Keep up the good work.

The price from HP is as competitive as any other store that I previously got them and HP cartridges really work well with my printer. Yes, I have used refills and other lower cost methods in the past, but the original cartridges always work best and last longest. It’s not about the price, it’s about the overall value!

If you were going to do this HP the right way to handle would be on new printers going forward, not to existing printers that were bought with the functionality to use aftermarket ink. I will surely join any class action that is brought on behalf of existing printer users. Shame on you HP.

All I had to do was buy color ink because even though they were trying to print black, apparently the color ink is used as well as some sort of print head protection. Works great now. I don't print daily, even weekly, so maybe it's drying out on me. Either way, I'm losing money by having to replace it before it reaches the estimated pages of print. I'll keep using it though.

I installed the inks in my printer, and the color are blurred and each time that print something in black, it came out from my printer with margenta shadow. This replaced an 18 month old HP 6978 which had a "printer head" malfunction that HP advised could not be repaired. I had already bought new ink for that printer which of course was not compatible with the 6600. HP would not take back the unused cartridges so I was forced to buy new HP 933 Cartridges. Best advise. Buy Epson which I believe is a better quality product.

Nope. 10 days of non stop interfering annoying pop ups. 10 days to get simple ink. Should have gone to staples and been done with it. The printer hadn't been used in awhile, so we needed to clean the print head through all 3 levels. Easily, I can estimate that 1/3 of the cartridge was used and it still didn't print correctly. THAT IS RIDICULOUS! We cleaned one more time and now there is almost NO ink in the color cartridges. I'm not sure if the cartridges containing so little ink for the price or the printer is the issue, but to say that we were disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it.

It will absolutely not print anything when it decides a cartridge is out of ink. I know there is ink in the cartridges because it allows me to print the HP Test Page, and it comes out in perfect color. Please let us override the "Shutdown" feature.

This ink is quick to finish and the wireless printing is not working effectively. I have been going crazy trying to print out my child’s school work since the lock down and the printer has been a disappointment, I can’t wait to get a better brand that I don’t have to spend so much money on inks, it’s so crazy how the inks run’s out so quickly. When I change one ink the other one will need to be charged too and I am not even that rich and I have to spend $147 plus charge on ink which is not acceptable.

I don't print that many pages in several years, but I have to order new ink every several months. It dries up even if I don't use it, and I can't be the only person with this problem.

They did not last to print anything close to the number of pages the say you get out of a cartridge.

I only use the black ink and resent the HP extortion business model where I need to continuously buy a $45 HP 933 CMY Combo 3 pack just so I can print a B&W text page. The CMY Combo pack quickly evaporates and then I am forced to buy it again just so I can print a B&W text document. That qualifies as extortion to me.

My huge problem is that when it says the machine is out of a color, the printer will not print anything whether it be black only or not. I think this is stealing from me.

But, when I purchased and installed the new cartridges, the problem was not resolved. This purchase was a waste of my money and time. Now, I’ll probably need to look at purchasing another printer, and it probably will not be an HP.

I have been able to use the printer as a scanner with no problems. Since I can't use these cartridges can I return them. I haven't heard from via Walmart.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Genuine HP cartridges didn’t solve the problem I had ordered ink cartridges for my HP 6600 all in one printer via Amazon thinking they were genuine HP cartridges. They were not, but I removed the depleted red one and replaced it with the non-HP new cartridge from Amazon. The printer went through its normal routine trying to set up the new cartridge, but it failed showing a message to that effect. So I returned all the cartridges to Amazon and ordered the 933 cartridges from HP. When they arrived, I installed the red one, the printer again went through its setup routine, which unfortunately failed as before. I downloaded updated drivers but that didn’t help, so I have new ink and a non-functional printer.
