Granted, it does not charge the device quick enough since it is only 65W and 90W chargers aren't cheap. But this was a great value during the sale pricing and is made of high quality materials.

Was expecting the adapter to have power cord as shown on the website, instead it only came with plug which is also special one so I can't use the cord which came with my original charger! Overall it is good buy if you know that you will be close to power outlet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact, versitile Works great for my HP x360 Spectre 13 in laptop. It did not come with the extended wall power (120VAC) cord, just the plug which can be removed. So I ordered a normal computer power cord from Amazon as someone mentioned, but found out that the HP charger will not accept them (the 3 pin shrouds are not the same). So, I just decided to use a regular household extension cord to plug into and that works fine.

There seems to be several variations of this adapter but mine came exactly like shown in the picture. For traveling, I'm glad it has only two prong AC plug and only the one cable. The 65W output matches the OEM.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good size & performance, but needs some tweaks Have bought this twice now because HP Cust Svc has insisted that it should include both the travel duckhead and the longer corded AC plug that interchange with the adapter body. Both times now it has arrived with only the duckhead. I will be insisting that they send a corded plug as well since I need it to plug into the back of my UPS at home. Also I have a 45W adapter of the same style that came with my 13" Spectre 360 (and which came with both duckhead and cord), and for some stupid reason the duckheads and corded plugs for the 45W and 65W versions of the adapters are NOT INTERCHANGEABLE! The connector socket/plugs are shaped slightly differently so they won't interchange. Ridiculous design decision that was presumably intended to force you to buy more cords etc. Also, the DC end of the adapter is a USB-C cord for power delivery to the laptop; but the cord is permanently attached to the adapter body! This really should have been designed as an adapter body with socket to accept any USB-C cable so that the cable (which is what typically fails/is damaged first on a power adapter) can be easily replaced with a new one. Again, seems like a decision intended to force the user to buy a new adapter if anything fails rather than spending $5-10 for a new USB cable.

The result is a cord that is too short to be convenient for use while on the computer unless you are sitting right next to a power outlet.

I reference the spec sheet in the manual and they told me it would defiantly work, however it does not. Now I own a very expensive cell phone charger because I've waited too long to return it to HP. The terminal on the power supply it shaped differently. I had to use the supplied power plug which means the entire power supply hangs in the wall. It exactly resembles my original HP power supply, the cord terminals are different. But it works, that's what matters.

Even though the box and instructions show a cable to actually connect this to an outlet, there is none, instead a tiny pronged part that cantilevers the whole adapter away from a wall socket. Good luck not knowcking into it or starting a fire when it begins to arc. *All* adapters sold with a computer have one, but not this replacement part. Good luck, too, trying to finding one on HP's site. Eventually found a complete charger on eBay at half the price.

But to make it more practical I had to purchase a two-foot extension cord because on the plug location. It was too limiting for many plugs while traveling. Overall, still a strong recommendation but get an extension cord as well.

Within 6 months there was something wrong with the prongs and the plug would no longer work unless I taped it to the outlet. Finally I got tired of the "work-around" to get it to work so I bought a new on at nearly $70 because the "Travel adapter" that separate piece that was faulty could not be purchased by itself. YUK!!!! The new cord seems to be working fine - it's been two weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, better directions needed This is a neat little travel adapter that I would recommend for a second power adapter, however, the instructions don't mention that this device does not connect into the same port as the laptops original power port. Instead this unit plugs into the laptop's USB Type C and is able to power the laptop that way. There is zero mention of this in the directions. When it arrived I thought that I had paid a lot of money for a very expensive cell phone charger. I was not aware that my laptop had the ability to charge from 2 different ports: the power port or the USB Type C port (a first for me). This should be listed somewhere in the directions on either the laptop or more helpful on the travel power adapter's directions. I almost returned this unit because I thought I had the wrong one.

Why HP doesn't mention there's only the 3-prong plug, not cord (as pictured) in box is a mystery. It's a common 'mickey-mouse' type cord though, but nonetheless, misleading. Seems to charge almost as fast as power cable that came with laptop.

Super unreliable and frustrating. Anytime the charger it touched even the slightest, I have to replug the charger into my laptop to work.

Even though the Spectre requires 90W, this adapter charges reasonably fast. I put away the original bulky adapter that came with the laptop but used its detachable cable to extend this USB-C adapter for extra length.

The power supply did operate fine, but the cord/port connection from the start on my 2017 Spectre 360 13" was always loose and falling out. I can't tell you how many times it loosely jiggled itself free from the port. Finally, I am needing to replace it because it does not make any electrical connection at all, so not able to charge up the battery. As I am trying out some aftermarket ones, they fit supremely well. So, to throw away a whole good charger unit because of only a poorly made USB-C connector on the end of the cord is a sad waste of $75 for me. I wish HP would put a USB port on the charger unit itself and let us change just the cord when it's plug wears out, and not replace the whole charger.

This device has both capabilities, which is why I rated the features as excellent. However, it won't power my HP Elitebook 360 and haven't figured out why. Hence the 1-star and poor performance rating.

It charged my computer quickly while I worked. I would also recommend it as a travel charger. However, I plan to keep my 90W charger that came with my computer in my travel bag. The comments about the missing cord are true but it seems the website was updated to remove the cord. However, the box still shows the cord. FYI, any 3 prong "mickey mouse" cord will fit. They are $6 on Amazon.

I received the product and it will not charge. The cable is recognized by the laptop, but will not charge. There is no product support available for this item online and every attempt I've made to contact customer support has been a nightmare.

The adapter is lighter, has much less unwieldy cord to manage, and powers the laptop perfectly.

I was not rough with it or anything, but since it's made with plastic and glue, it just broke off. I recommend this replacement adapter because there is no other choice. If you buy another brand of USB-C charger, the HP laptop will constantly remind you that you plugged in an off-brand power adapter.

There's one annoyance, though: every time I plug it in to my HP laptop (a recent Envy X360) I get a notification that “HP recommends using an original power adapter from HP”. It doesn't seem to make a difference to the function, but it's a (very slight) hit to my confidence in HP that they haven't configured all their devices with this basic level of recognition. I hope they'll look into this and put out an update to fix it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too Heavy and Bulky for Receptacles The picture here does not show the plug. The plug is where the notch is in the unit. The unit is then too heavy at the receptacle. The weight of the unit creates an lever affect at the plug and forces the plug out of the receptacle. This even occurs with industrial spec receptacles with strong spring clamps in the receptacle. Also, do to its bulkiness it will not plug into many receptacles in hotel rooms. Especially those on top of desk and built into hotel lamps.

Somehow I missed that the product only has a long cord on one end with an attachment on the power supply that plugs into the wall. Based on some of the product pictures I assumed this also had a long cord on the other end (like my original power adapter), but it turns out you need to acquire a different attachment that is separate. To be clear, I did get what I ordered, I just didn't pay close enough attention. That said, the product works for the majority of my needs and is very reliable.

The extension cable for my previous charger still works so I assumed that I would be able to plug that into my new charger and use it. However, much to my dismay the old cable does not plug into the new charger. I also was not able to find the exact same charger on your website. The old chord should be plugged into the new charger. This is my third hp laptop and my charger has suddenly stopped working and my laptop battery has become horrible.

I ordered this replacement last week. Unfortunately it arrived missing the wall cable. It only has the little two-prong square that plugs the brick directly into the wall, which means it is several feet shorter and also tends to fall out of the plug due to the brick's weight. Not a fan. I've contacted HP to see if they'll send me a wall cable but I'm not optimistic.

That's what this charger is compared to the original that came with my HP laptop. This one doesn't have the three-prong part of the cord and ends on the two-prong bulge that takes up so much space it often occludes the adjacent power plug. HP doesn't sell the three-prong original that is longer and respectfully takes up only one outlet worth of space. That being said, this wire with a two-pronged tumor at its head does work and charges your laptop. It just comes up short occasionally when you need it most.

The product seems well made but I would recommend moving the transformer away from the plug because the weight of the transformer helps to work the plug out on an ill-fitting outlet. If the transformer was further back, it could rest on an adjacent surface and not hang on the plug.

The new one work perfectly to power the computer, an fit snugly into the power port. This was a life-saver for me because I am sequestered in my second home to avoid Covid19, and my only space power supply is in my other home, almost 200 miles away. It arrived very quickly; the interruption in my working online was quite minimal.

I have a HP Pavilion laptop that comes with a 65 watt charger and a USB-C port. Having both specs match with both components, I thought I should be good to go. Wrong! My bad. It does not. Customer service was great in arranging the return and credit to my account! They were also helpful in providing options to finding an OEM provider. Unfortunately, HP Parts Department does not have the OEM charger available ( I bought this laptop in Feb 2020; started trying to acquire a second charger in April 2020) and the only third party vendor that listed as having this item has not moved on the order in just over a week. Never thought getting a second OEM compatible charger for alternate work spaces/travel would be so difficult.

The purchase included an outlet connector which is very convenient. Also, HP included a gift of a bag for empty cartridges to fill and simply place in mailbox for proper disposal. Overall, HP not only cares about the comfort and usability of their products for their customers, they care about the environment! Very impressed and happy I chose to purchase through HP!

When we plugged it in to charge the error message said it was not strong enough to charge this device. Still waiting for reply from HP which adapter we should buy.

My original power adaptor gets to stay in one central location at home while I use the travel adaptor for all trips outside the house. It's a lot lighter than the original cord that came with my laptop. This means less weight in my carry-on or overnight bag. US hotels have power sources in the desk area, so this 3ft. cord allows me to work continuously without losing power when needed. The price was great. It's already packed for my next trip.

It works fine, but the block is so heavy that if falls out of some plugs easily, ESPECIALLY in airplane power outlets. If you travel would look at one that has the 3 prongs. If you mostly use in wall plugs, it works well. Also, because it's meant for travel the cord is a bit short.

It does NOT include an actual cord to go between the outlet and the brick. And the USBC cord from the brick to the computer is only about 3 feet long, which means 1) you need enough room on/round the wall outlet to have the brick right there, and 2) the wall outlet needs to be very close to where you want to use the computer. If you want to use this as replacement/backup for the power cord/adaptor that came with the Spectre x360, you'll probably be sad. I was.

It comes with a power plug that connects to the charger, which manes the 3" square charge is plugged directly into an outlet, or you can use an extension cord. I alerted HP and suggested they changed the photo on the site as well as the quick start guide that comes in the box with the product. BUT, as a charger it is quick to charge and connects securely to my laptop, something the previous 2 chargers with the C-type connection did not do.

Fine on floor receptacles. HP doesn't sell a separate 2 or 3 prong corded plug unit. Fixed by buying a good quality extension cord that allows adapter to lie on floor. Works fine that way.

Instead, there's a small adapter that allows you to plug the power brick right into the wall. No long cord included. I feel a bit cheated by this, the only negative part of my buying process with HP. Would I recommend this to a friend? No, not until they change the photo because I don't want to help someone lie.

The plug connection to the wall is a proprietary format that doesn’t allow any other kind of computer power cord to be attached to it. For years I’ve been reusing these power cords and attaching them to the power supplies various computers, this is the first one that isn’t compatible with what was obviously once upon a time a genuine standard. I love its touchscreen feature and OMG It is so fast that I can't believe it. I dont know what kind of processor it has on board but let me tell you...this little laptop can boogie down the cyber highway so fast that I forget its only 11.6 inches. Best purchase I ever made. The picture is crisp & clear, font size is adjustable and did I tell you how fast the lil booger is?! Thank you hp, you really came thru this time...thumbs up!
