It has 3 USB-A ports for most devices now and even has 1 USB-C port for newer devices. It also comes with a power adapter that is not needed if you are just using it for one device but useful if charging multiple or high powered devices. The power adapter offers multiple wall plug adapters for multiple countries. Has everything you need to charge or access up to 4 devices at once.

It just works. being powered makes it easier to use more devices, and charge her phone! In addition, she can use some of the USB-C peripherals I've been adding to our toolbag! I do with the connecting cable was either detachable, or LONGER. She likes to keep the desk clear, so we had to use an extender cable to get this to the side. Only other critique, is to put at least one of the USB A connectors on the other side to make all ports usable when using slightly wider than normal things on the hub. Solid little hub, power cable stays attached, and the hub never feels hot even when using all the ports, including one charging a mobile device. In fact, I liked the device so much, that I've also purchased this device for a few users at work, after trying this through the review program.I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

It so happens that I'm very fond of StarTech for many reasons but I have went out of my way to remain objective.The first part, packaging and installation. A big problem with many online retailers is that items this small come in layers of packaging and you are left with several boxes, often large. StarTech packages things in solid packaging but it never burdens you with extra boxes you will have trouble disposing of. In the same regard, the shipping is always fast, efficient and with one exception, always on time. Even when it wasn't on time it was only a day late and it was the transport company's fault.From unboxing through setup to use, it will only take you about 2 minutes on the high end. Unbox it, plug it in, let the drivers install if needed and you're ready to go.I run several computers that are mostly cloud machines, and I never have enough USB ports. WIth the advent of USB C, this was much worse. I have two new phones, my family has the same models that require USB C. The packaging for Samsung's S8 for instance, has a pronged cable that accepts a USB C male end on both sides. Without the adapter it's of limited value. However with this hub, you can charge your phone by inserting the adapter into any USB enabled computer, then plug either end of the charging cable into it. You essentially get a USB C port on your computer for free. The same obviously goes for any other device that uses USB C plugs - if your laptop doesn't natively have C ports, it will now. I use this to charge my phone, sync the phones with my laptop (which does have a C Port) and a desktop that doesn't have a C Port. This is one of the best made small hubs I've used. It's very sturdy, strong and firm. Everything fits perfectly, and I mean perfectly - as firm as it can be without any extra slack and without being too tight that it needs worn in.The other great feature is that you can use it with or without additional power. If you use the power cable, you can power several devices and re-charge things without the awful "Slow Charge warning". I'm sure some power is lost in the transfer but if you just use it directly without a computer, to charge your phone, things charge as fast as they would otherwise - at least I can't tell any discernible difference. Strong (which is critical in a portable device) , fast transfers, ability to power other devices, great fit (again, critical for a portable device if you want it to last and don't want to risk damage to your chords), this is the best hub I've had and despite getting a review item, I've purchased three more.

I found this unit easy to setup and use on my Microsoft, Android and Apple devices. This unit has the ability to simultaneously fast-charge up to three mobile devices, all three USB-A ports. The USB Hub is both self-powered and comes with an external power adapter to support various small and large USB devices, which require more power than USB power can provide on its own.
