Rated 5 out of 5 by from Garbage A) The network interface card did not work properly out of box. B) the external monitor is not working correctly, I frequently get wavy scan lines when using it. C) i CONTINUALLY have to unplug my mouse/keyboard and other devices due to the fact that they stop working on this box. I have never have had more trouble with a docking station than this piece of junk. That includes the surface dock! As always you get what you pay for with Startech.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as intended. (INSTALL DRIVERS FOR IT TO WORK) This device works on Windows or MAC, however like most USB devices you will HAVE to install the drivers for it to work properly, otherwise it is a paperweight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as Advertised Got this to supplement our Microsoft Surface Pro 2 devices. Works flawless as far as giving us gigabit Ethernet and support two monitors (via the DVI and HDMI connections). Running through video and applications, I can't see any lag between the monitors (moving windows from one monitor to the other) - definitely worth picking up if you plan on using the Surface Pro 2 in a corporate environment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null Have been using this device for over 2 months and haven't had a single issue with it. Setup was extremely easy. Just follow the simple instructions. Had it up and running in 15 minutes. My setup includes dual monitors, VOIP soft phone (phone works through my laptop) and video conferencing. No throughput issues with all of this traffic running through the Startech dock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some good feature, but lacking others. I have had this dock for several years, and it works well. After all this time I only have a couple complaints. The first is that the DisplayLink manager app doesn't have an auto update feature, and it's really annoying having to search for it whenever the dock stops working as a result of a MS patch. The other thing is that Startech did not consider modern heaphones with built-in mic's when they built this. You have to get a splitter to make them work. It would have been much more convenient to make the headphone port a headphone/mic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great with macOS 10.14 on Retina MBP 15" Fried my discrete video card hence needed an extender for reusing the 2 monitors that were connected to the thunderbolt port previously. The docking station worked after installing the drivers. Would have preferred 2 HDMI ports at this price. But still a great device. Doesn't get too hot and most importantly works with Apple devices without any hassle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Failing on multiple machines I tested this dock for my company on 4 different machines, all of which experienced different problems. Monitors freezing, not refreshing, artifacting, the machines freezing and the dock needing to be restarted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 monitors on a 2017 MacBook air running I bought this to run a second monitor using the USB3 port. My MacBook Air runs the latest Monterey 12.3.1. Once all was plugged in, which was all of 3 cables, plugged in the Power, the USB cable and an HDMI cable, I simply downloaded the drivers for the Mac 12.x and installed. Once the security permissions were granted the 2nd monitor sprang into life. One small issues (not much of an inconvenience, when I boot the laptop from cold I do have to run the DisplayLink Manager app for the second monitor to work. Like I said not really an inconvenience a I added the app icon to the taskbar.
