This certified Thunderbolt™ 3 docking station is a compact mini dock, delivering essential connections for productivity. The bus-powered dock connects dual 4K HDMI displays, Gigabit Ethernet, and two USB-A (USB 3.2 / 2.0) ports and for flexible set up, the attached Thunderbolt 3 cable has an extended length of (11 in./ 28 cm). Create a Dual-4K 60Hz Workstation| Great for editing 4K video or other Ultra HD tasks, this portable Thunderbolt™ 3 to HDMI dock supports 40 Gbps of throughput and 4K resolution at 60Hz on dual HDMI monitors, through a single Thunderbolt™ 3 port. Run resource-demanding applications on two independent displays without draining system resources. Connect your laptop to:| 2x 4K HDMI displays (up to 4096 x 2160p @ 60Hz), Compact Size & 11-Inch Attached Host Cable| At just 2.4"" x 4.9"" (6.1 cm x 12.4 cm), this dock takes up minimal room on your desk and in your laptop case. The dock's 28 cm (11 inches) attached cable provides extended reach to reduce port/connector strain on MacBooks and laptops on riser stands, or if needed, offers the flexibility to position dock further away from the laptop on your desk. The Ports You Need Most| 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port (5Gbps), 1x USB 2.0 Type-A port, 1x Gigabit Ethernet port (with PXE Boot and Wake-on-LAN support), Ideal for Power-Demanding Workstation Setups| As many high powered, later generation laptops optimally require more than 100W of power to stay charged, some users prefer to use their laptop's power adapter vs. using their docking stations to keep laptops charged. This bus-powered TB3 mini dock is ideally suited for those users, providing full Thunderbolt™ 3 docking station performance and functionality, while their workstation laptops are separately charged. The TB3DKM2HDL is Thunderbolt Certified and backed by a StarTech.com 3-year warranty and free lifetime technical support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from USB and Ethernet Do not work consistently HDMI works. USB and Ethernet do not unless you reboot - in which case they will work for a time. Similar to other reviewers. This is on Catalina, Intel Mac which is supposedly supported.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great option for additional monitors very helpful replacement for the much more expensive and hard to find thunderbolt docking stations. this unit allows me to have the extra two monitors and a couple usb ports. take note, there is no power supplied to your laptop through it like the thunderbolt docking stations. running a webcam and usb speaker through the usb ports did not work but the usb mouse did fine. this requires me to use my laptop usb ports for the speaker and webcam. not as convenient as a full thunderbolt docking station but still useful for the price and availability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfrect The only thing stopping me from giving this a 5 star review is the out of box experience (2017 MBP 15in, core i7, MacOS Montery. Like most reviews I see on here the LAN port didn't work right away. I ended up chatting with support and they suggested I got through NVRAM and SMC reset. Instead, I simply removed all the network connections except wifi, then disconnected/reconnected the Mini Dock. Then the TB Ethernet Slot 1 interface appeared and connected succesfully. I hope this helps someone out there who's going through the same ethernet port issue. =]
