It comes with a longer cable than other DVD drives and drive is made with better quality than other one's we've tried. It's plug and play and doesn't require additional drivers.

Rated 5 out of 5 byFrank from I was disappointed.The description on line did not indicate that you need two USB ports to use the External drive efficiently and since my Mac Book Pro only has one port the operation is limited. While the Mac is listed as compatible, software updates are only listed for Windows.I suppose it was my inexperience in not recognizing these limitations, but there are no instructions that come with the device, except a 2 page Quick Start diagram in about 30 languages. Live and learn.
