Tripp Lite Isolator series UL2601-1 listed Hospital Grade isolation transformers offer line isolation, continuous noise filtering and enhanced common mode surge suppression. Internal low-impedance isolation transformer component offers 100% isolation from the input AC line. Full UL2601-1 medical grade listing with hospital-grade plug and outlet receptacles makes Isolator Hospital Grade transformers ideal for the protection of sensitive electronic equipment in patient-care areas. Isolation transformer with Faraday shield reduces the cumulative leakage current of the Isolator and connected equipment to levels below 300 microamps. Secondary neutral to ground bonding eliminates common mode noise, providing an isolated ground reference for sensitive equipment and an inexpensive alternative to the installation of dedicated circuits and site electrical upgrades. Rated 5 out of 5 byJoe from Bigger than neededWe have a Medical unit that would not pass internal leakage testing and were in need of a ISO transformer to bring it down. The 1800W was ordered to handle this. When it arrived it was way bigger than what we needed for this issue. The unit weighs close to 50 pounds and has 6 or so outlets so placement was a challenge and it is only being used on one device.

Immediately noticed cleaner picture on my 77" LED. Sound Detail picked up immensely - all the little things that were shrouded before became evident. Was like watching movies for the first time again! Save yourself thousands for more expensive "audiophile" isolators and grab the heavy duty Tripp lite 1800 watt!

Rated 5 out of 5 bycRiMe5150 from Medical grade product works great in a music studio.After finally completing a 24-track recording studio in my home, I was plagued by line noise and hum in every amp and microphone cable. It was even showing up in the final mix from the board! I soon learned that the forty electronic low-voltage spots (with dimmers) I had installed were causing this intolerable situation. Line filters and line conditioners (if there is a difference between the two) were of no help... as in NONE. While recording in the dark can be fun, it just isn't practicle, so, before I ripped out every one of those low-voltage nightmares, I ordered the IS1800HG. Line noise is now history and the first song has been recorded and mixed without a trace of hum. In order to power the tremendous amount of electronic gear used in the studio, I am using four Tripp-Lite PS-415-HG-OEM hospital grade power strips, each one, plugged directly into the transformer. Granted, this method is specifically NOT recommended by the manufactuer, however, this is not a hospital. After all, it's only rock & roll, and we like it. Now more than ever. Thank you Tripp-Lite.

Rated 5 out of 5 bybcd from IS1800HG works very wellI purchase this in lieu of putting in a dedicated circuit for my home theater room. There was a lot of DC noise on the line and this device isolated it right away. Not sure if it is power of suggestion but the play back of music seems so much better and overall the quiet is very quiet. This thing seems to do what it claims. I am going to get another for my tv room. Oh, and there is a very slight hum from this device I was able to move it around enough that I don't hear it any longer.
