Perfect for your home or office workstation, the TLP606USBB Protect It! 6-Outlet Surge Protector features a surge suppression rating of 990 joules to defend your sensitive electronic components against strong surges and spikes.
The TLP606USBB includes full normal mode (H-N) and common mode (N-G/H-G) line surge suppression, as well as technology that filters out disruptive EMI/RFI line noise, preventing interference from disrupting your electronics and inflicting damage or data loss.
Your computer and peripherals plug into six NEMA 5-15R outlets, including one designed to accept bulky transformers without blocking adjacent outlets. Dual USB ports provide 2.1 total amps for fast charging smartphones, tablets, MP3 players and other portable devices. Integrated 15-amp circuit breaker protects all outlets against dangerous overloads. Lighted on/off switch provides one-touch control over connected equipment. Green LED indicates protection status.
The 1.83 m (6-ft.) AC power cord with NEMA 5-15P plug allows the TLP606USBB to reach distant outlets, giving you flexibility in placing the surge protector. Keyhole slots incorporated into the bottom panel provide convenient wall or desk mounting options for the black plastic housing.

Two tablets, two phones, one laptop with external speakers are now powered and protected. We could not be more thrilled with our purchase. Our camper is only 18 feet in length, so keeping organized is essential. The TRIPP-LITE Protect It! surge protector does exactly what we needed.

I've never had one fail yet. To back up their quality, they even provide insurance. Shopping was fast and quality was top notch, just as expected from a leader in the industry. My only wish is that they had a model with built in USB-C ports to fast charge my phone.

I have been told that the USB plugs are convenient and that she likes the slim design better than the other brands that are twice as wide. As for protection, I honestly don't know much about Joules and if this is a "catch all" for "brown outs".

We test all sorts of transformers ,devices ranging from 4-20mA sensors to10VDC analog actuators and more. We have testing carts set up with PLC's and 24VAC transformers(120-24VAC) plugged into these surge protectors. One of my guys was testing a control panel with 120VAC coming from the surge protector. He had his phone and a GoPro camera charging via USB port form the surge protector. There was a short in the panel (120VAC and Neutral swapped) that tripped the surge protector. Everything plugged into the Surge protector was protected and no damage, but It did burn out the surge protector. TRIPP-LITE replaced the surge protector with no issues, easy as 1,2,3.
