It's a waste cartridge
CDW keeps requesting a review of this product, so here goes. It's a waste cartridge. Either it works or it doesn't. There's no in-between. This works just fine and is easy to replace. The price is outrageous, but what are you going to do? Consumables are high-profit items for Xerox and you're dead in the water without it.
FYI: It's a good idea to always have an extra one on hand, especially if it's been a while since you replaced it. Unlike other consumables, the printer only reports if the waste cartridge is "OK" or not. There is no warning that it is nearing full capacity until one day when the printer shuts down with a "waste cartridge full" error message.

Best Product for the space and money
This printer is great when it wants to be. I have spent a lot of time troubleshooting with it, and it works great when it wants to and seems to have a mind of its own sometimes. It has random brain glitches and gets stuck/frozen when random files are sent to print. Sometimes it decides that you must select the paper type on your computer, other times it lets you automatically select. Not sure why this happens. I need to call a technician out around every three months to service it, so I would recommend paying for any kind of warranty you can on it. The ink and waste cartridge are very easy to replace and the quality of the printing is very good. But sometimes I want to go Office Space on the thing.

Exactly what I needed
I have owned this printer for nearly 9 months and LOVE. IT. It can be a pain dealing with drivers/firmware, and I have had a technician visit twice. But, once I learned how to update the firmware myself, I can troubleshoot many of the issues on my own (that and, I'm working on a PC, which is notorious for networking issues/driver issues.) I would give it 5 stars were it not for my frustration this week with reinstalling drivers. Easy fix, though.
I print on mainly heavy cardstock (85-130lb cover) and have yet to replace a fuser- and currently my status checker shows I'm at 90% life remaining. I've printed nearly 19,000 prints, 17,000 of them being COLOR, and I've only replaced the color toner once, the black toner never. I have between 25%-40% toner currently left in my printer. Not bad!
Being a sole proprietor business, making this purchase was a HUGE decision. I wish I would've purchased the machine a lot sooner- my profit margin has literally exploded!

Great Print Quality and Versatile
Great for agency type setting. Delivers great print quality and the ability to do short run production. Screen on printer is intuitive enough to provide simple troubleshooting. Ability to print on a wide variety of medium which gives you in house ability to mock-up virtually anything that is going to full production. We enjoy this product and recommend!

Great Prints impossible to run
I have this printer and i cant use it anymore, the price of toner is so high that every time i get a job on the printer i loose money.

This machine is an asset to our office
We have several machines, but this machine seems to be quite self sufficient. Doesn't seem to jam much at all and the color comes out nicely. I would recommend this machine to anyone and in fact would love to have another one in our office.

Good product, but it's not a Phaser 7600
My overall rating for this machine is good, but a couple of issues arose that required Xerox to step in. The main issue is that the 3-tray lower unit, to quote the technician, "was built on a Friday!" It turns out one of the pieces (who knows which) for tray 3 had been installed BACKWARDS at the factory. Xerox service came through just GREAT and all is well (though it took two service calls in the end).
The second issue is not so well-defined. I find the housing, trays and plastic pieces to be noticeably lighter (dare I say "cheaper") than the 7600 I had until rain leaked onto it and 'killed' my trusted printer.
So, Xerox has been terrific but I wish this was a bit more solid-feeling. Then again, the software IS better, and the... yes, I'd buy again.

Exceptional printer for at-home business
My partner and I operate a two-person marketing agency out of our homes, and we needed a pro-grade printer to produce high-quality large-format layouts from PDFs and other Adobe Creative Suite apps. The 7800 DN does that with ease, as well as print standard 8 1/2 x 11 size quickly and with the sharpest, cleanest results. Thanks to this printer, we appear buttoned up in every client presentation.
