SRCOOL12K Portable Air Conditioning Unit
Tripp Lite’s SRCOOL12K is a new-generation air conditioner designed for supplemental area cooling, emergency cooling and off-hour cooling applications. Efficient, compact, self-contained and portable, the 120V, 60 Hz SRCOOL12K is ideal for use in data centers, server and wiring closets, IT environments, home and small business offices, conference rooms, warehouses, entertainment centers or other venues with heat-sensitive equipment, particularly in areas that facility air conditioning can’t reach. The SRCOOL12K not only adjusts ambient room temperatures, but can also dehumidify and filter the air, providing better air quality for enhanced equipment performance with minimal noise and power consumption. The SRCOOL12K uses environmentally friendly R410a Freon, which complies with EPA standards for 2010 and beyond, and is accepted worldwide.
Designed for quick, simple installation, the SRCOOL12K plugs into a standard 5-15R outlet with no adapter required. Both a standard louvered vent (for general room cooling) and a directional ducted cooling vent (to direct cold air where most needed) are provided. A directional exhaust duct safely removes hot air from the room. The built-in dehumidifier expels condensed water through the exhaust duct, with no need for a drain tube, drain pan or water collection tank.
The SRCOOL12K meets the needs of the most demanding applications with 12,000 BTU of cooling power. A built-in timer enables the unit to be programmed for unattended startup and shutdown. Controls and displays are conveniently mounted on the top panel. An included window/drop ceiling kit provides multiple installation options.

Tripp Lite Portable Cooling Unit Air Conditioner Conditioning 12K BTU 120V is rated4.51 out of5 by78.
Rated 5 out of 5 byChris from UnreliableWorked for about 30 hours of non-continuous use, then the compressor failed. Tech support was friendly, but can offer only replacement, not refund. Replacement requires the buyer to haul the new unit around, pack up the old unit and arrange for return shipping (paid for by Tripp Lite). This has cost me a lot of time and trouble and I'm very dissatisfied with this product. Plus, Tripp Lite deleted my negative but honest review on their own website.

Rated 5 out of 5 byDisgruntledITWorker from Be Wary of Poor QualityJust after one year warranty expired, several of the blades in the cheaply designed and built light plastic fan broke off, causing it to be out of balance and therefore severely vibrate. Contacted Tripp-Lite to replace the fan and they do NOT sell replacement parts for this! Several on-line reviewers experienced this exact same issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 byBrandon from This units cools greatThis unit works great. It's nice to have a unit that doesn't need a drain connected. We use this unit 24/7/365 and it still cools like the first day we installed it.

Rated 5 out of 5 byFatMix from 12K CoolingI have had the unit running for a week now, very nice unit, quiet and compact design. It cools our small server closet to 70 with no issues. The digital read out is not a temp gauge, it stays at what you set it at, I had to place additional thermometer in the room to see what temp we are really at.

Rated 5 out of 5 byBroward Meals on Wheels from Keeps the server room coldEasy to install, I already had an exhaust vent and drain line through the wall, it was plug and play. Keeps my server room around 60 all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5 byTexas Cool from Great product!(2) units were purchased to cool a 15' x 15' server room and both units have been running for 2-1/2 years without issue. The hot air discharge can be vented above the ceiling tiles in a drop ceiling, the units do not create water, they are portable and can keep a consistent temperature at 67 degrees. The only required maintenance is cleaning the air filters each month. (2) additional units were purchased recently to cool training rooms 14' x 20' and 18' x 22' with (5) computers in each rack.

Rated 5 out of 5 byJimmytheGeek from Makes a huge difference in temperature & humidity!I share my office with the servers -- the space constraints of a small Library are handled this way -- so it stays pretty warm & humid. Located in a building built in 1937, insulation was never considered and IT needs are an afterthought, so this A/C unit fits the bill perfectly!

Rated 5 out of 5 byKirk from Very solid productHas been running great for years with no issues, much better than the unit it replaced. Well worth the extra dime if this is cooling a small data center as your servers depend on it.
