Rated 5 out of 5 by from Labels Great I am in IT and I enter a lot of dashes and dots in my labels. On the main keypad both are included with full numbers. One thing I hated was opening function keys to access these features on other labelers. Can't go wrong for the price and functionality. Ease of use was my only mark down. That is because of the features that are included. It can be difficult at times to access the correct menu. This is more user than machine though. Yes it will go through labels pretty quick but it is perfect for my use. Enjoy it when you buy it.

The mechanics of getting the label through are much simpler and straight forward. It really is a much better product, make me glad I had problem with my Dynmo so I could replace it with the P-Touch!

Preview screen is nice since I don't have to print, wasting ribbon, if lable has mistake The Clear instructions for set up is valuable for speed of use.

The only way I can remove the one inch margin is to cut it with a scissor even on the Narrow setting. It seems like it could have been engineered to let the printer do it automatically.

Buttons could be easier to push, but overall it works really good. I haven’t had any issues with labels jamming which is nice. The only thing I don’t like is the excessive amount of blank tape on both sides of the label. It costs too much money to keep replacing the tape reel after not getting that many labels out of one roll. Probably going to return this and buy one with smaller margins

Easy to use, AA cells last a long time, every color label tape available. This unit doesn't have all the options of the more expensive unit, but I find that most of those other options are rarely needed. I bought one for business about 3 years ago, and now I have one for home use. I highly rate all the brother products I have purchased. Fit, form, function & price beat the competition.

While the buttons feel weird to me and seem a bit small for my large hands and fingers, they work well and are not difficult to use. My only real complaint is that much like all Brother label-makers, they eat up a lot of tape for no reason, because even though I've cut down on the margin and excess tape at the end of the printing, it still feeds an inch or so before it starts printing, and I can't make it not do that. There's no reason for it to waste that tape except to get you to buy more tape more often, unless there's some actual design issue that needs for it to do that. However, other than that, this is a great product for a great price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Item for reasonable price We purchased this for our small business to label clients files with their name. It prints very nice. I like that is has many print options. The labels are cut through the middle making it much easier to peel the backing off. It's very easy to use and figure out. The only downside is that after you cut the label the next one will have too much extra label before the printed part. Basicly I have to cut the label down with scissors before I can use it. It does print 2 dots to show where to cut but I don't like to waste any part of the label and I don't like having to pull out a pair of scissors.

It worked fabulously for about 3 years (I used it a lot, so I got my money's worth), then quit. I bought another which had the same error and was getting frustrated. But customer service was great and shipped me a replacement which is working great! Highly recommend.

I did purchase the 1/4 inch tape, and I didn't receive any instructions on how to change the settings on my device, so it will print correctly.

However, since there is no backlight it is extremely hard to read the screen and to verify content, size, font, etc. I would look for one that has a back light. I contacted customer service but there is no way to enhance the viewing

The instructions are not great and come in a sheet that is folded over about 4 times. It is hard to find what you want to do. When you print the label, it is hard to remove the backing and then the label curls up and may stick to itself if it is long, thus wasting expensive tape.

You need a magnifying glass to see the largest font & an inch of wasted tape on both sides of the tiny number. Spent hours trying to figure out the useless instructions before throwing the whole thing in the trash bin.

Love how it can use multiple size ribbon and both batteries and corded. Bought a relatively cheap AC adapter of Amazon and it works great. Also love that with supreme ease you can switch tape. Would love to see more colors of tape and some with conflicting color for letters so they stand out more but no gripes. Would recommend to anyone.

Perfect for my labeling needs in the office and around the house. Only draw back is the excessive use of tape before and after the label text. I end up cutting off about an inch worth table for each label. When I am making 50 client file labels THATS ALOT going into the trash. If there is a fix out there I'd love to hear it. All my research has come up empty.

I have been running around labeling storage bins and craft supplies since getting the unit. I also ordered an adapter and extra tapes because I surely do not want to run out! I like this better than the DYMO I had at work.

The only issue I have is the quantity of blank tape that comes out of the machine before and after the printed section. When printing multiple labels, save tape by giving a couple of spaces between the print sections then cut them apart with a pair of sissors. This may not work well if you use some of the borders.

I have used the battery and the cord (most of the time the cord, the battery lie appears to be decent. This machine is one where you can be printing out labels in 5 minutes without reading any instructions, it is extremely easy to use, does not take up a lot of space, is sturdy, and prints a good-looking label, that hold up to all conditions. My one complaint is it leaves a massive margin on each side of the label, not sure if this is the cutter, transportation system, or firmware, but it is something that needs to be re-engineered.

Just one thing that I don't like, it uses a lot of space before it prints the words, so I feel it wastes a lot of the tape, which costs me more money in the long run.

There are built-in functions that reduce the amount of tape required, and I remove batteries when not in use (as recommended to try and prolong the life of the unit. It has been easy to use.

The buttons are kind of vertical and I think they would be easier to use if they were horizontal. Wish the indents on each end of the print were a little tighter. They are 1" on each end. 1/2" would be better.

Only two problems I have is colossal waste each label makes (even after changing the margins) & the hard to read, unless in direct sunlight, LCD screen (and yes I did change the contrast). Otherwise love the unit. Some samples would be nice...?? ??!!

Not many, not a lot, but some things really need a label. So I wanted something simple, easy to use, and practical. This is it. I only wish that getting to specific special characters were easier to use. Have no found an easy way, yet, to say get to the "#" character. Seems I have to navigate more than one menu.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It just works. No problems. No hassles. I got tired of ink jet printers that turned to orphans when they no longer were supported by their manufacturers. The ink jets would dry up and they became useless. I decided to switch to Laser and went to an old supplier that I had confidence in from the days when I wrote business applications software and sold computer equipment to businesses. Brother is a great manufacturer for quality and reliability.

Replacing all my old hard to read labels on my fastener trays etc. in the garage. I read reports of wasted tape but I found that printing 16 inches of labels at one time wastes very little tape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multi functional organizing tool! I had long been waiting to purchase a Label Maker for my own home/personal filing and organizing. I finally decided to buy this Brother handheld PT-H110 and it has been a great decision so far. It's pretty easy to use and operate. I've taken it with me when organizing in other homes. It's such a fantastic tool for neat and organized people. It has symbols, different fonts and sizes of text for your different needs. The only downside I see is that with each print, you have to waste a little bit of tape at the beginning and end of your print.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never printed right Horrible, horrible thing. It never printed correctly, it always mis-printed every single thing I tried. It would print a long blank section, then half the message, then when I tried to print it again, it'd print the other half of the message, and then the first half of it again. I never, ever got it to print correctly. After calling tech support, they had me make sure the settings I already tried 100 times already were correct, and had me do a factory reset of it. It still printed wrong. So to make sure I wasn't scamming them I guess they made me take pictures of the labels and email them it. They agreed to send me another printer, and I could throw the other one away. When I got the new label maker, I was finally happy that the solution would be resolved. Nope, this printer prints exactly the same as the old one. Half messages and incorrect labels, every single time. I was so upset and frustrated, I just threw it away. If they aren't going to sell me a working unit, I won't use their products. This, along with a brother printer that has a constant "paper jam" message and won't print, has really made me hesitate to purchase any brother product ever again. They've proven over and over again that their products just don't work. I'll be surprised if this review is even posted here, to be honest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good unit, but wastes a lot of expensive tape The only drawback is that it wastes a lot of tape when you print one tag. This also involves using a pair of scissors to trim the label. This makes it expensive to keep buying label tape. Otherwise this is a great labeler.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Way too Complicated For a basic label printer, it takes an Einstien to figure it out. Even then it it counter intuitive to even basic functions. How about starting with maybe 5 or 6 basic lable setups built in. And lose the waisted tape at the bigining or end and just alow me to set the length starting from the 1st charactor and cutting at the last. Your instructions to keep a sizors handy to cut to length is stupid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My New Organizing Buddy I have never known the exquisite joy of being a Brother label maker owner until recently when I saw the P-Touch sitting on the shelf at Staples, basking in it's glowing aura before me. It's been love ever since. I use the lime green tape for tabs on all my files because the color is non-traditional and fun to look at during boring personal administrative work. And soon, I will own the pink label tape just for fun. I'm considering some of the holiday colored ones for helping me get my holiday decoration boxes labeled and organized. I could go on and on. Thank you, Brother!

I have been running around labeling storage bins and craft supplies since getting the unit. I also ordered an adapter and extra tapes because I surely do not want to run out! I like this better than the DYMO I had at work.

The flat keyboard is hard to tell if you have pressed pressed hard enough to have entered the letter you want. The keyboard keys are small and narrow causing many errors to occur. Getting to the different menus is not as easy as the other models make it.

There are many fonts and styles making this the best label maker I've ever used. I would highly recommend the Brother PT-H110.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Buy This product works flawlessly. I find it useful for all types of labeling and I am grateful that I pick this unit. The only limitation that I can fine; and it may be user error; is that you cannot adjust the size of the labels you’re making.
