HP charges something north of $20 USD for their standard 3-foot cord, which is too short to use effectively in multiple situations. I was thrilled to see that CDW had a 6-foot cord, of heavier construction and apparently higher quality, for about one-third the price of the inferior HP cord.I bought two -- one for home and one for the office. And I reserve the 3-footer from HP for traveling situations, where the AC outlet in the hotel room is within reach of this one.

Appears to be better engineered and constructed than the original and will likely long outlast the original. Our Acer Aspire One is a tough little net-book that's flown 167K+ miles in the past year (prob close to 300K since '08), comes on vacation with us and serves as our second computer when I'm home.
