Good printer...uses ink way too quickly
I like the functionality and features of my Canon printer. The paper tray feels a bit flimsy, but so far works as directed. My major negative is that it seems to run through ink very quickly. I am a home user, and do not really do a lot of printing. Yet, ink needs replacing almost immediately. That is a disappointment.

Good product terrible delivery system
The product is great, have been a Canon printer customer since my first computer twenty years ago. But the system use to deliver mail orders sucks. No delivery day given in advance and I guess that will not matter since the delivery person just drops de box in the building lobby. Did not even bother to buzz my apartment no notify that the package will be left unattended. Good product terrible delivery system.

Great experience.

Starter refills included with new printer seem lesser capacity. Ran out in less than a month with average home use printing.
Cons: Expensive. XL capacity refills apparently only for large PGBK tank. Prefer more XL M and XL C tanks. Customer Support phone lines understaffed; 30-45 minute holds typical. Fax set-up transmission fails with dedicated phone line connected. Impossible to talk with US. Phone support.

Canon makes quality inks they just charge too much
Inks work well , prints are clear and useable. However Canon has two problems , they charge too much for theses inks and make printers that wont run on other manufactures ink products . I like this printer results. Just FYI when it wears out , it will be last Canon printer I purchase.

It is ink....
It is printer ink - you need the ink to make your printer work! I am happy to see that now, you can get all five cartridges in one pack - it makes it easier than ordering separate or four and one... I have not replaced the cartridges yet but am hoping that the ink works as well as it has in the past. The shipping was fast, the free paper is a nice bonus. I just wish the ink did not cost as much or the shipping costs. I never see Canon coupons or great deals on their ink products!

Unacceptable Ink Replacement Life
The ink does not last at all. I have been using ink jet printers for over 20 years, Canon, Epson, Brother at different times. I have never seen ink being used up so quickly. It is unacceptable.

The cartridges themselves are fine except that they cannot be refilled without disabling the printers ink monitoring capabilities. This is ecologically unfriendly as well as expensive.

Great price for Canon Ink bundle!
Ordering directly from Canon saved me a lot of money for the Canon 5 cartridge bundle. Office Depot did not even have the 5 cartridge package so to get all I would have paid at least double tge price. Thank you Canon!

The package came with a black cartridge instead of one of the color. There is no easy way to replace it. I would have to wait on the phone for 30+ min just to talk to someone. I will never buy anything from Canon ever again. They live in the previous century! Pathetic.

No paper error message within two weeks and little helpful resources
So far I have it for about 2 weeks now. I purchased this printer to print out my labels. Last night, I spent all night to figure out how to print from the rear tray. I used the same type of paper, it works from the cassette but can not print from the rear tray. There was a message no paper and please check the alignment. It was so frustrating. The reason I want to use the rear tray because my labels were printed out crooked from the cassette. I was not sure why. I used white gloss 2.5 x 2.5 label sheet which is just letter size from online label. I wasted a whole sheet of paper trying to get the labels printed out straight. And the rear tray did not work for me for the same setting. I looked up on the internet and there was not any video about this printer. I am debating if I want to return it. It will be a lot of work to ship this printer back. I hope someone can show me how to fix this problem.

Canon made finding the cartridges for my unit and ordering them easy. When they arrived one of the cartridges had leaked so I would recommend better packaging in the future to the company and wearing gloves while opening to the consumer. The shipping was on time.

Not a fan of Canon ink policy
I bought a Canon that had the same size ink cartridges. They fit but the new printer does not recognize them. Had to buy these new ink cartridges to get me through. Canon, when this printer is through I am buying another brand. Not a fan of loosing over $200 of ink cartridges due to being a new model. This is just Canon greed.

I bought this several months ago and so far it works great. Installation was easy, prints envelopes without a problem. Haven't printed pictures yet. Only issue is having to leave the tray open in order to print, but so far I haven't backed my chair into it. Ink is pricey but so are most of them.

I learned my lesson
I should have known better. I tried to save some money and went to one of those big box stores and had them refill my Canon printer cartridges. It worked fine for plain black print but when I tried to print a photo in came out horrible. The was an orange hue to the entire photo and all the colors were off. I thought it was the printer and then realized it was the ink. I purchased Canon ink and now I’m back to photo perfect prints. Lesson learned.

Easy replacement
The ink cartridges are easy to remove and insert. The printer seemed to have a neurotic fit after replacing three cartridges. Unplugging the printer during the next reboot seem to correct the problem.

I have had really good luck with Canon ink. The cartridges I have used in three different Canon printers now have rarely ever clogged and needed cleaning.
While the larger black ink tank is helpful in this package as it gets used a lot, I was really looking for XL tanks in a package like this.
