Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unfortunate Disappointing Experience I was excited to purchase my first Dell E2215HV Monitor on May 10, 2018 but upon setting it up I noticed excessive light bleed from all sides and wondered if this is normal for this low-end monitor. I contacted Technical Support who confirmed using their testing method that indeed the monitor was defective. I returned the defective monitor while a 2nd E2216HV was on its way as a replacement. Well, this monitor also had the same defect. I returned the 2nd defective E2216HV and requested a switch to a E2216H monitor. I received monitor #3 (E2216H) and finally was satisfied with this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from VGA Connector Only Didn't think to check the specs before I purchased, but this monitor only has a VGA port. Not sure why any newly produced equipment wouldn't have an HDMI port. Had to go out and buy a VGA/HDMI converter which added $15 to the price of the monitor. Otherwise, the monitor itself works fine and as expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dell 22” monitor I was very disappointed with this Dell monitor. It’s a 22” monitor, or supposed to be. It actually measures 21 1/2”. That may not sound like much, but it chops a full inch off the height. I have a Dell monitor that came with my previous Dell computer, and it measures exactly 22” diagonally. The height is a full 1 inch higher than my new one. I guess that’s what they call progress.

I should have read the specifications more closely but why a monitor would be manufactured today, in 2022, with only VGA is absurd. There is no future with VGA, even servers which I'm sure this product is intended for have HDMI.

I also don't care for the lack of brightness / contrast adjustment in the picture. Even if you turn it all the way up, the image is washed out. If I hadn't NEEDED it immediately for work when it arrived, I would have returned it.

Unfortunately, this screens picture is definitely a lesser quality than my other one which I am assuming is because this screen does not have an hdmi connection. So, am disappointed. :(

Thankfully, I had left-over speakers from a system from long ago that I could use. I recommend Dell spell-out in the product description that speakers are or are not built-in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The crappy Dell E2216Hv monitor You’ll be sorry if you buy this pile of crap. First of all, it’s NOT a 22” monitor. It measures 21 1/2” so the height is a full 1” inch less than a real 22” monitor. No sound, no inputs. Only one lousy VGA cable. And the picture quality is absolutely HORRIBLE !!!!
