Rated 5 out of 5 by from poor quality We've received several of this model keyboard with new Dell Optiplex 3040/5040 systems and purchased three by themselves. Out of the three extra we purchased all three had keys that stopped working without a lot of force in a relatively short time (a couple of months). Also at least one of the ones that came with the Dell computers has similar problems. CDW was great handling replacements, but now they're past the RMA window so have to get replacements through Dell. We will not be buying these again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from REPLACEMENT KEYBOARD THAT I THOUGHT WAS NOT AVIALBLE FOR MY OLD DELL XPS I was very happy to obtain a replacement keyboard for my old Tower DELL XPS. My previous key board had soda spilled on it, and therefore several keys were stuck. To use the DELETE key I had to remove the key and use the tip of a pen to make it work. The new keyboard is basically the same with a few changes that enhance my usage. The keyboard is very silent when pressing the keys. Another cosmetic change is that there is no dust in the keys and who wouldn't want a new clean silent keyboard. Customer Service was excellent to be able to find the replacement after I provided the order number of my old XPS

The keys have a good weight to them to where I don’t have to strain my fingers. The only thing is that the keys stick after awhile and I can’t unstick them. Since this is so inexpensive I just buy another one. I even collect them if I see new ones at thrift stores.

Definitely not n-key rollover, but 2 key rollover makes this keyboard seem prehistoric in comparison to others I have. I know it's not intended for gaming, but I can't even use this for basic games because it won't register more than 2 key presses at once.

Please read the instruction here: https://www.dell.com/support/article/uk/en/ukdhs1/sln69262/how-to-use-the-print-screen-key-in-microsoft-windows-operating-systems?lang=en You should press Windows + Print Screen or Alt + Print Screen. Print Screen alone wouldn't work. Don't forget to hold the Fn key.

Looks capable but order of computer came with a mouse but no keyboard - even after staff told us that a very expensive computer would 'of course' come with a keyboard - but it did not arrive with a keyboard.....only a new tinny mouse. Sooooo when you order - good luck.

If you type super slow, any will work, I suppose. Get a cheap keyboard with your desktop purchase for 7 dollars extra. Its likely this one.

It was a pleasant surprise the same model was still in stock. I used an older Dell keyboard I had sitting around while waiting for the replacement to arrive, and wasn't used to the feel of it anymore. I'd come to like the firmer touch of this keyboard and the compact size, without the palm rest of the older model. While I'm not thrilled that it died after 4 years, it's not like losing a $100 gaming keyboard. It's only about $20. It's a keyboard. It works. And if not for the pandemic and supply chain problems affecting graphics cards, I'd have bought a new XPS 2 years ago and never known the keyboard didn't last forever.

We have deployed many of them and most end users like the feel of the response as well as size. The reason it gets only four stars is the Fn keys. I along with others preferred when a full Dell keyboard had the dedicated keys. There is a price for the compact nature I am sure and it does take getting use to when coming off one of the older Dell keyboards with wrist rest and sometimes a USB port. Certainly for business and education use the reliability and cost is here with the KB216.

It's sleek design fits perfectly on my desk and its ergonomic angle supports my wrists excellently! The layout meets all of my needs with the FN keys combining other functions that allows it to be compact yet useful. The smooth keystroke action allows me to type with confidence and feels great when typing. I would recommend this keyboard for anyone looking to upgrade or replace their current older model as I did!

It is smaller than I expected, and the keys are a little too close together for those with large hands and long fingers. The palm rest does not fit well, due to lack of support in the middle. On older models, there is a tab in the middle of the palm rest that attaches to the keyboard. This one only has a small rubber support. It causes the palm rest to sag in the middle, which is disappointing, especially considering how expensive it is. If I had to make the purchasing decision over again, I would go with another brand.

Obviously, with a wire, this does not have that problem. It's a nice compact keyboard, not huge like many wired keyboards, it's just slightly smaller; more like the size and shape of many wireless keyboards. It's got really nice keys. Most of the wired keyboards use these big "chunky" keys that make you feel like you're using an old fashioned tele-type machine. This is easy to use and the keys are lower profile. And of course, the price is much better than wireless keyboards. Though a little more than some cheap wired ones but hey, you get what you pay for. I want a keyboard that is so natural to use, I forget that I'm typing. This is it!

While the old one still worked perfectly it was very dirty and had a key missing (that was entirely my fault). Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Keyboard Nice USB keyboard. Had to get used to the key action, but I can type as fast on it as on my work computer keyboard. Actually bought it to get away from my Dell laptop keyboard and touchpad. Just one brush of that touchpad and the cursor would move somewhere else. That was ridiculous and this keyboard solves that problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 Keyboards are better than 1 ??? Seems to work fine. I bought it to replace my original keyboard because I was not able to log on by typing my password. Used different USB ports and found that they weren't the problem either. I had to pull up an onscreen keyboard to do any typing. This replacement didn't solve the problem so I will be calling tech support to help solve this settings or software problem.
