Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not as quiet as I would have liked, but a decent keyboard. It is a very nice keyboard, came with a wrist wrest attachment, however I didn't find it as quiet as I thought it would be. Very "clicky" when typing. The layout of the keyboard is very nice. I chose to return this product due to the noise when typing, and ordered a wireless keyboard from another company (the new keyboard is SUPER quiet"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect, functional, great price Perfect for everyday use. Got it to replace unreliable bluetooth keyboard. It's compact, well constructed, and has separated key groups. It's also got internet/mail/calculator/sleep/zoom buttons as well as full set of multimedia controls (rwnd, stop, play, ff, volume). It also has num/caps/scroll lock status indicators. Great price for the functionality - would definitely buy again, but don't expect to as it seems very well built.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of 8 Out of the 8 different keyboards I've owned this is the best. The keys could be a bit bigger and a maybe a bit farther apart, but it has the best key action of any of them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small price/great value I bought this because the Dell I have at my job is worn out with me hitting keys all day. Great for the money and a quality product. I would suggest it for medium to a heavy work load .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice keyboard for the money This keyboard works well. It has a nice feel to it and isn't loud when you are typing on it. It has a nice smooth feel from key to key so your fingers don't get hung up when moving around the keyboard. I like the extra controls across the top for video, zoom and audio control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great keyboard!! 2nd I bought of this type, replacing the original that gave me about 7 years of hard service. I like the fact that it has system audio volume control, it has computer sleep controls, 1 key internet, Email, etc etc. has saved me much time through the years

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable Extremely happy and satisfied with my new Keyboard-KB522. I'm a typist and the Keyboard is very comfortable, and I especially like the hand rest, which helps to rest my wrist comfortably too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great keyboard and a great value! Very comfortable keyboard, the keys extend just the right height above the frame. They have a good solid feel and with the USB cable the input response is instant. Good keyboard and a very good value. I don't use the removable hand rest, but that's just personal preference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice layout. It's a nice keyboard and has a nice layout, but for me, it's too quiet. I like to hear the 'click' when I type. Also, the legs or feet DON'T stay put, they go back up and you wind up with a completely flat position - every time you try to adjust the keyboard. Add a small piece of foam or glue them. I'm keeping it as a back-up, though. I recommend it, if you like quiet keyboards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice keyboard at a very good price I first stumbled on this particular keyboard at a small local computer store that sells used computer components. They had a large box of Dell keyboards and I bought several "normal" ones but this USB multimedia KB really interested me and I bought the only one they had. Since then I have bought two new ones from Dell and will buy one or two more. There are many features I enjoy about this keyboard and the USB ports are one. There was a time when PC keyboards often had USB ports on them (Mac keyboards have almost always had them) and they allow you to put your wireless mouse receiver very near the mouse. The ports are only USB 2.0 but for my purposes that's perfectly OK. That port will support USB 2.0 thumb drives and I have my Wacom Bamboo tablet connected through one of the two KB ports and it works fine. I am quite happy with the keyboard "feel" (admittedly a personal opinion) and I was also pleased to see that the keyboard does seem to be very well supported in linux, given that is the main OS my PCs using these KBs run. Dell has had (and I assume still does have) a fairly good appreciation and hence support for linux. For example the volume control wheel and the mute button work with no problem in linux, as do the zoom in and zoom out top keys. There are ways to get the other custom keys on the KB top row configured in linux but that is a bit more of a challenge. I have 3 PCs running this KB now and will probably buy two more to replace existing KBs on other PCs I have here at home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good keyboard Bought this keyboard because when I bought computer I didn't realize it didn't have a number pad, was very disappointed that I didn't realize that, but anyway so I got this keyboard. The keys feel a lot different to the touch so it's hard to go back and forth between the laptop and keyboard. Keys kinda feel like original keyboard - very loud. Other than that everything preforms great. Real long cord.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Business Keyboard I purchased this keyboard because my old one is missing a few keys. This model is more durable and I love the hand rest. The additional shortcut keys are a definite bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT Multimedia Keyboard! Slim, refined design, quiet keys, sleek, and multimedia keys work great! It's a wired keyboard, but it's exactly what I was looking for (don't have to deal with batteries going out every couple months). Two USB ports on top work great! I love it,and would recommended it highly to anyone looking to replace their old keyboard. Price is great as well! Got mine with next day shipping for free!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the horizontal-rolling volume control Most importantly, I chose this for the horizontally-rolling volume control above F10. More convenient than other volume controls on keyboard or screen. Useful top row of fast-access buttons, especially the calculator key. Reliable keys with a good tactile response. I have used one bought years ago (for a different computer) and - it is still going - totally reliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quiet keyboard So far I have no issues with the keyboard. It's a bit wider than some of the other ones which is why I purchased this one. My only complaint is that I prefer to have my keyboard elevated but the feet are flimsy and don't elevate it enough. However, someone commented they placed the hand rest underneath the keyboard to elevate it so I tried that and it helped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from overall All aspects of keyboard ergonomics and usability are outstanding. Far exceeds more expensive types. Price for this everyday used part of your system is very affordable and beats the competition. Have used this specific kybd for over 4 years only downside it is on the business side of the house and not viewable on the home side of the house. I just contact Dell and usually purchase 5 to 10 just to have, because it works with everything

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light yet pleasing mechanical feel promotes fast typing without fatigue This is a very pleasant keyboard with a light touch, keys with shape contoured to fingertips, and short, responsive stroke that allows for many hours of typing without any fatigue, yet has the perfect spring-loading that is quieter and smoother than much more expensive mechanical keyboards. A slightly earlier version I have in my second office location has lasted for more than 8 years of heavy use that has worn the letters off of many of the keys to a shiny black finish, yet is still going strong. This is a really under-rated keyboard that is quite affordable also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite keyboard ever! This is my second Dell KB522. My first one worked fine, but was used so hard that some of the letters were no longer visible. Ergonomically the best key board I have ever used. Makes wfh with a laptop so much easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good keyboard. Will probably buy another. I'm writing this on September 23, 2016, and it's hard to find a good, non-curved, wired, full-layout, multimedia keyboard these days. Therefore, I was very happy to find Dell's KB522. Please note that there are actually two different versions of this keyboard pictured on Dell's website. If you're curious about which one you will receive, I got the one that appears in the lower picture (in which the multimedia keys are indented from the left side of the keyboard). The picture above that currently shows a version in which the multimedia keys are flush with the left side of the keyboard. The keyboard uses full-sized keys (even the F1 - F12 keys are full-sized), and it has a full layout, which is exactly what I wanted. Despite all of this, the design is amazingly compact. It takes up less desk space than a non-multimedia keyboard that I was using previously. Typing on this keyboard has a good feel, and the overall build quality is good too. However, I removed one star because after a couple of months of usage, the surface of the space bar is already starting to get a little "shiny". I'd prefer that the texture on the keys didn't wear out so quickly. I definitely like this keyboard, though. It has all of the most important multimedia keys (calculator, browser, e-mail, etc.). It was plug and play on Windows 7. I currently plan to buy another one next year, assuming that it is still available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid traditional mechanical keyboard Solid old school style keyboard. Use it for work and for casual gaming. Really like the wrist wrest that's detacable for cleaning. only improvement I could see would be having lit keys for night time, but didn't feel like paying the extra to get that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value for the Price Medium touch for keys. Volume control not marked. Speed keys across the top for calculator and zoom in and out are handy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy I like the feel and lack of sound from this keyboard. I also find the preprogrammed function keys and the rotary volume control very handy. Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Review of my new KB522 Computer Keyboard This keyboard performs well as expected. I use the shortcut and media keys. I find they are definitely an added convenience. The two usb ports are a useful and convenient feature as well. The only drawback overall I can think of is this type of Key labels used. They are very common. This type of "stick on" key label is affected by the lighting in the room. If there is a glare from a desk lamp it can make the keys difficult to see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quiet and good connectivity. This keyboard is quiet and comfortable to use for long period of time. I like two USB ports in the keyboard. I have attached my USB mouse Bluetooth receiver with the keyboard and it works fine. I haven’t used an actual USB with it for data transfer but I’d imagine that would work too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from replacement keyboard from Dell Keyboard works fine. Had to move the lower extension to prop up the top of the keyboard. That also made it far less likely to use shift instead of the cap locks key.
