Control as Many as 16 Computers or Servers from Anywhere in the World
This NetDirector Cat5 KVM over IP switch provides complete control of up to 16 computers and/or servers located up to 100 feet (30.5 meters) away. The B064C-16-1X1-IP is a comprehensive network management solution that installs in 1U of space in an EIA-standard 19-inch rack using the included hardware. No server-resident software is required, so server performance and reliability are never compromised. Flash-upgradable firmware over an Ethernet network fine-tunes compatibility with emerging standards.
Simple Network Control That Gives You More Flexibility
This Cat5 switch gives you a rack-mountable keyboard, LCD and touchpad in a single console, designed to ease multi-server management in data centers, server rooms and other high-density environments. Built-in IP capability allows up to two users, one local and one remote, to access the network independently and simultaneously. You may also select a connected computer using a remote toolbar, OSD (on-screen display), pushbuttons or hot keys. An LED per port indicates which connected computers are online or in use.
High-Resolution On-Screen Display Offers Multi-Language Support
The advanced OSD with high-resolution video up to 1920 x 1200 (at 60 Hz) or 1280 x 1024 (at 75 Hz) provides a GUI with management tools, including auto-scanning and panel array mode. The OSD may be set to display in English, German, Russian, Japanese, traditional Chinese or simplified Chinese.
Supports Both IPv4 and IPv6 Addresses
The B064C-16-1X1-IP supports IPv4 and IPv6 protocols. Remote access avoids costly and time-consuming travel to the server room or network closet. You may set the IP address manually or have it automatically assigned via DHCP server (the default method). A non-browser client is available that allows Windows computers to remotely access the KVM without the need for a browser and without the need to install Java.
Heightened Security of Every Connection
Multi-level password protection helps prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to connected servers/computers. Remote authentication support is provided via RADIUS and LDAP/S. The B064C-16-1X1-IP also incorporates advanced encryption technologies: 128-bit RC4, 168-bit 3DES, 256-bit AES and 56-bit DES. You can install SSL certificates to ensure secure transactions between web servers and browsers. An easy-to-access log tracks events on your installation.
Network-Wide Storage Media Access
Virtual Media capability allows any computer connected to the KVM via a B055-Series server interface unit to access DVD/CD drives, flash drives and other storage media from a remote computer, as if it were directly connected. This allows administrators to perform file transfers, install software and perform diagnostics across a network. A USB port is provided on the front panel for use with Virtual Media or USB peripheral devices.
TAA-Compliant for GSA Schedule Purchases
The B064C-16-1X1-IP is compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA), which makes it eligible for GSA (General Services Administration) Schedule and other federal procurement contracts.
