The USA-19HS Keyspan High-Speed USB-to-Serial Adapter allows you to connect a serial device to a computer or laptop with a USB Type-A port. Widely recommended by serial device manufacturers, the USA-19HS attaches to switches, routers, barcode scanners, GPS units, point-of-sale devices, lab equipment, network storage devices and other devices with a 9-pin serial port. The included 3-foot detachable cable supports data transfer speeds up to 230 Kbps - twice as fast as a built-in serial port. The USA-19HS works with any USB cable up to 16 feet. It downloads however it does not load when i open the application. I selected the Windows 7 Beta driver for my USA-19HS interface unit. My laptop does not recognize the unit when i plug it in. The power on indicator lamp (LED) does not come on.

Rated 5 out of 5 bySerial from Great, except for Windows 10I've used this adapter for years very successfully with WinXP and Win7. Works perfectly; five stars. But I cannot get it to work reliably with Windows 10; zero stars. Everything seems OK at first with Win10, but the adapter triggers a blue screen of death from time to time due to a problem in the driver. I can't live with that.

Rated 5 out of 5 byNetwork Ninja from Gets the job done!I use this on a day to day basis as a Network Engineer. It's pretty straight forward and definitely gets the job done. I have used others that not as reliable so this is my go-to adapter. I would, however, like to see something a little bit more solid/sturdy. While it's not as fragile as other adapters, I imagine it wouldn't take much to crush or cause the casing to separate. Otherwise, no complaints!

This adapter was very easy to set up and everything worked flawlessly and automatically. I have now tried it with all my serial devices and it works with them all. Thank you for a great product
