The HamiltonBuhl® Edison Educational Robot Class Pack introduces children from kindergarten to 12th grade to the fundamentals of coding. Its surface features Lego®-compatible plates, so students can customize the appearance of their bot. The Edison educational robot kit provides an easy-to-use robot programming software to introduce kids to coding through Edblocks®. EdScratch® is similar to the Scratch software and features a drag-and-drop interface, while EdPy® teaches the basics of Python® programming languages.
Edison features several sensors and two motors, and it communicates with the real world via infra-red receivers and transmitters. It has sound detection features, and it can read barcodes as well as play music. Each robot can communicate with other Edison bots and children can control them with TV remotes. The pack includes 20 STEAM robotic kits and comes complete with 10 robotics education lesson plans. The line tracking sensor, clap detector and buzzer make the experience even more engaging.
