It does print and scan well when it works. Still not sure if I’d recommend it. I changed printers only to go back to 2 inks instead of 5

They had 2 reasonably priced HP home size units and 2 other brand for office use. I selected the smaller home unit and tried to buy some print cartridges to fit it. Ran into a bottle neck because they had none in stock. Let home, went on line to order some units. HP was the only supplier that could fill my needs. The pricing was the same as the store in town and I got what I needed in a couple business days. Because I do not print much I am still using the set up cartridges that came with my purchase. I have no doubts that what HP supplied me will fit perfectly when needed. I do like the empty cartridge return policy and HP gave me a postage free return packet for my use. Makes more sense then throwing the empty cartridges into a land fill.

Why is the cartridge not full in the first place? So, to make more money fill the same size cartridge and sell for more. More big business money making ideas and we pay the price.

The newer model has better software and more functions however I’d like to point out that in spite of the fact that you sell this in many countries it would be nice to have printed instructions as to act as to how to access all the features in the printer some of us are still literate and preferredTo read some instructions rather than go to the web every time to figure out some feature out given what you charge for ink I’m sure you know that black ink on white paper isn’t really that expensive

The only problem comes in with the Set up if you are not a knowledgable computer person. Why is the color printer after setup not printing color? i am surprised that HP is leaving the customer with this question by himself UNANSWERED. I HAD TO CALL A COMPUTER PERSON to solve this problem what had extra expenses out of my pocket - this is not necessary & not called for. It is printing in color now and I am very pleased with this little machine. RR

Plus two full in the printer I recycled. That's a lot of ink. One nasty HP Email said the Instant Ink cartridges were disabled from working in any other printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ink! Price?...not so much. HP has always provided good ink. But HP has always charged way too much for the ink. "Constant ink" (or whatever it is called) does not work well for many of us, and getting out of it without wasting money and ink is very difficult. Since HP is locking us ever more tightly into using their ink for their printers, isn't it time to bring the ink prices down? 10 cents per page, just for ink, if you're lucky. We KNOW that much ink doesn't cost anything like that to make and package and ship.

It must have been a refurbished cartridge as the ink is very faint as if there is no ink in the cartridge I would never use the service again. My test page was fine. The next day I used it to print a document that I needed for business purposes and it was extremely faint I could barely see the printing. I had to run out and purchase a new ink cartridge

I know part of the deal is to get a good price on the printer and then you make money on the ink, but it now costs about 10 cents per page, ink alone, for home-printing. And you've set the system so no one is allowed to compete with you.

The ones on the ink subscription purpose don't have this problem so this feels like an attempt to pressure you ibto using them. The non-xl size lasted maybe 16 pages. The XL was better but no where near the estimate.

The sad part is that HP does not allow a customer to make a purchase and then not make a review. I am getting far too many emails in my already crowded inbox reminding me to submit a review. I guess this review will toggle the “Annoy Customer for a Review” switch OFF and I’ll have peace for now. Although my next purchase will likely be from a brick-and-mortar store or possibly a different online shop. My loss though as these are quality ink cartridges at a good price.

There are some things I would like to do but don't know how. For example; scan a picture and upload it to my computer. For that matter why didn't I get one of theses surveys for the printer itself?

Although, It took a while for me to realize that shopping for the lowest ink price from various vendors, was not always a bargain. It is simply another example of the old axiom: "You get what you pay for". I recently signed-up for HP's Instant Ink service and now, when my ink is almost gone, I receive replacement cartridges automatically (at a reasonable price).

This is corporate greed at its worst, and completely anti-consumer. Ink is ink, I shouldn't have to care who's logo is on the box. So, I went through all of the steps to get it started. Over and over and over! I took the ink cartage out, I noticed black ink on the back of the cartage. That when I decided to buy more ink. When I put the new cartage in and it worked!!! I almost put it the mail and send it back. I wasted a lot of my time trying to get to get to work, not to mention I had to buy more ink to get it to work. By the way, the printer was new. Ron

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inconsistant ink quantities in cartridges I was very disappointed with the last order of ink that I received as the number of pages that it will print varies drastically from one cartridge to another. I realize that different copies require different amounts of ink, but I keep track of the pages I print and the amount of colors on each page as I have a relatively new printer and am trying to decide if it is cost efficient, or if it should be replaced. Normally, I have been getting about 100-105 copies from each 67XL, but on two of the cartridges, the cartridge was unusable after only 51 and 60 pages of copy. Needless to say, I am not only unhappy with the variations in the cartridges, I am unhappy with the printer that requires this cartridge (Envy 6052e) as well as it uses way more ink than any of the previous HP printers I have ever owned. I uinderstand why HP would only make triple color cartridges, as you make money when we must discard cartridges that are only out of some of the ink, but I want to control my ink iinventory and replace only the colors that are actually empty.

It took a couple of tries getting the printer set up correctly but after getting it set up all has been working fine. The ink cartridges are handling the printing I do amazingly well. They seem to last a little longer then expected and the print quality is fine. The printer and ink are both getting 4 star reviews.

I use it to download patterns I purchase for Cross Stitching online. The chart comes out perfectly, each time. This printer and copier has more than payed for itself. And the ink delivery program that is offered is great. Thank you for this HP DeskJet All-in-One Printer system, makes work easier.

It is cheaper than the ink for some other printers, saving me money with just that, however, beyond that I use my computer for personal copying from the computer or simply for copying documents and articles. I don't use expensive copy paper either. I find HP ink prints clearly and boldly,yet there are no smudges. I used an lower price ink prior to this new printer, but was constantly plagued with incompatiable cartridge messages. It was a hassle, never again. HP ink is my go to, I can count on it. The service I got from the HP store was excellent, I made a mistake in my order and they made it all right for me. Thank you

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A little disappointed The power cable falls out of the space in the back of the unit and doesn’t fit snug. The slightest movement of the unit causes the cable to slip out. The communication between the unit and the software is sketchy. The programming gets confused. The only way to clear it is to turn it off and on again. It wastes pages of paper and ink. The unit sends messages to HP who then sends ink cartridges when no new ones are needed. The cost of the HP ink direct is pricier that other suppliers. The paper tray frequently gets jammed even when using HP paper. This is not a well-designed model for the consumer but definitely benefits the manufacturer’s income. The only benefit to buying this model was the price of it.

Wish I would have never purchased them. Has the WIFI feature but I really don't understand it. Also realized previously I could print with legal size paper and can't do that either. I am almost 70 years old and these are probably the worst purchases I have ever done. Sorry.

I hate having to throw the old cartridge away and will be returning it to HP. Want to do my part to keep the planet cleaner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What is this, a printer cartridge for ants The cartridge does suprisingly few pages before it runs out. Its expensive. Every time you replace the tiny cartridge the printer spits out a "test page" which uses up half the ink. I shouldve just stuck with going to Fedex/Kinkos.

The software says installation is complete, but when I try to print, I get the message that the printer is not on line. I’ve tried all I can think of, but the installation software is no help. I’m not sure what to do next.

I have an iMac...everything is geared to PC's and it wants me to use google. There is not a hard copy of the manual, and not enough ink to print one. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HP any longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not too happy This printer prints when it wants to. I have to disconnect the cord, check all possible areas of a problem, but nothing. Then about a week later, it will pop out copies of things I needed. Not reliable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wireless feature is very unreliable This is the 1st wireless printer I've owned that is so sensitive to how it is plugged in and 'minimum' distance from the wireless router. It's lost its marbles a couple of times now so I just use the USB connection now. Other than this, the printer works very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tri-color and black ink cartridges work. I bought both tri-color and black ink cartridges. Although my printer did not let me know I needed to change them, the rotten prints did. I would have liked to get the monthly plan, but when I minimized the screen to check that against regular ink, it disappeared -- so now I'm getting cartridges, whether I want them or not. Interestingly, although I ordered both cartridges at the same time, they were not shipped together. And UPS, which "delivers" them, throws them over the fence, rather than opening the gate and bringing them to the front door. Incidentally, never try to contact HP -- you only reach folks in the Philippines, even if it's during a normal US workday.

It won't print, have to unplug it before it will print a job, won't come out if stand by mode unless it is unplugged and replugged won't stay connected to my device, takes longer than forever to print a page. I would much rather take a print the Bible by hand (old Testament and New Testament than to hit print on any of my devices but it's the only printer I have at the moment!

It is so nice to have this printer that prints so well. The original cartridges have not run out yet, but i am ready when that happens!
