The Juniper® Networks Intrusion Prevention System monitors and analyzes events occurring in your system to detect and block potential threats. The IPS changes the security environment, like configurations of the network firewall and the host-based firewall to stop incoming attacks. With security controls like IP address segmentation, the Juniper intrusion prevention system license can halt flagged addresses from accessing the target destinations, reinforcing the security of the system. Activating the IDP Inline mode allows for passive analysis and recognition of application layer risks matching the instituted threat policies.
The Juniper intrusion prevention 1-year program is also configurable. It allows system administrators to enforce selective prevention techniques on the traffic passing through the network. Through alert settings, administrators can customize alert types by setting severity levels, default priority, or toggle them on or off. The program license has a 1-year validity period, eliminating the need for frequent subscriptions and freeing up time to focus on other business aspects.
