Awesome until it stops
This Keyboard has a wonderful touch. I consider it the best laptop keyboard that I have ever used. It connects both securely and easily to the ThinkPad x1 tablet. However I could not give it a 5 star rating because it is a replacement keyboard that I had to purchase after the initial product failed.

Very good keyboard with a fatal flaw
One of the best attachable keyboards on the market but has a fatal flaw - hinge dies in 1-2 years of moderate use. Ridiculously expensive - 5-7 times more than previous gen similar keyboard. Planned obsolescence?

It works.
I have owned the X1 Gen 3 tablet for a little more than 2 years. The device goes back and forth to work and home office and the keyboard comes on and off frequently. The original keyboard stopped working. As much as I love this configuration (tablet & removable keyboard the ribbon connector is a weak part of the design. The replacement keyboard works fine. The 3 stars rates the design more than the replacement keyboard.

Fixes dead keyboard issue on X1 Tablet
If you’re X1 tablet keyboard stops working one day, this replacement will rake care of the problem. Don’t waste time chasing down alternatives.

Awesome attachable keyboard
The keyboard has been made with very high quality materials. It is light and has strong magnet to attach in to the computer slot.
