Microsoft Access is not only the most popular relational database management system for the Microsoft Windows operating system - it's the one database, that everyone in your organization can agree on, from end users to developers. That's because it's easy to use and full-featured, and that makes it the hard-working database without the hard work.

As a member of the Microsoft Office family, Access features IntelliSense technology - built-in intelligence that senses what you want to do and produces the desired result. That makes routine tasks automatic and complex jobs easier. A full-featured database should be easy to use - no matter who's using it. That's why, whether you're a beginner, an old hand, or a developer, you'll find that Access makes it easy to get the results you want.

What do you like best about the product?

Great tool included with the right software for word processing, proposals, spreadsheets and presentations. Use it to integrate people into documents like proposals, prospecting lists, and sales routes with mapping services

What do you dislike about the product?

Stayed a solid piece of software but has not talked to me about advances. I recently started to use the service to keep track of a recent database that I want to isolate out of my other work environments and it really is intuitive and works well considering how long it has been around. Like the mapping feature for contacts

What do you like best about the product?

Just the basics, that it can be used for data integration.

What do you dislike about the product?

Ponderous for our needs. Not quick or responsive. Lots of road block errors if you don't enter data exactly as required.

Database for Everyone

What do you like best about the product?

Simple and easy at every stage from installation to use. No hours of setup and configurations for other familiar databases. You can complete all the operations in a few simple steps and start using it instantly. All of your small or large-scale processes are equivalent to existing databases.

What do you dislike about the product?

Increasing database sizes will increase the usage area. The size limitation can be solved by relational tables or database partitioning, but it will be more perfect to manage it as a single piece.

What do you like best about the product?

MS Access allows you to create places to store data in an easily retrievable fashion, allowing multiple users and form views for display and data entry, reporting, and data analysis. Easily mitigable to SQL Server, as you continue to grow. I've turned many an Access database into a front-end for SQL Server. The Application looks and behaves like the other Office products, making it's introduction to new users fairly simple and straight forward.

What do you dislike about the product?

It is unfortunate the Microsoft has chosen to leave the programing language behind with VBA, and not update to VB.NET. Natively, it does not handle more than a few simultaneous users, and though it says databases up to 2GB in size, it becomes hard to use any table over 200K records. In both of these situations, I moved my data to SQL Server, and then reconnected through Linked Tables, turning it into a front-end application.

This is very helpful business tool to increase productivity with small database. It is fast and if a person knows SQL then he don't have to learn another language. Tables can be joined easily.

What do you dislike about the product?

It is not available with team. It is difficult to move the reports and extract with filters.
