the perfect Briefcase
this thing is just slightly bigger than your usual briefcase that your used to but it hold at least twice and probably more than you would ever want to carry with you...I have used hard sided cases for years before and never found one that was perfect and when it came time to replace my old Hard Sided case and began looking the only one I could find that suited my tastes were those Zero Halliburton's... I wasn't going to pay that much for a briefcase and "settled" for this one... I was so surprised I could make the transition to a soft sided case and this one is bulletproof... I am very impressed and can't imagine this thing ever failing in any way and if it does Lifetime warranty no questions asked. Color me satisfied to the extreme and I am a very picky when it comes to my briefcase...everyone compliments me on it all the time. I am sold on this one and wouldn't consider trading it for a Zero Halliburton if one was offered to me. This one is tougher than packs away easier and is more accessible... did I mention Lifetime warranty...I have had this thing for over 5 years and it still looks new.

Excellent Bag
Lots of space. Holds everything well. Not so many pockets that you lose stuff but enough so that you don't have everything in the same compartment.
Use an Alienware M17x and its a tight fit to slide the laptop in and out. The slot for the laptop says "CheckPoint Friendly" which is really nice.
It will fit under most seats in airplanes. Aisle seats seem to be better as there is less other safety stuff under the seat in front.
Durable and cushioning. Hate to admit it but I dropped the bag with laptop in onto the floor about 3 feet below and the laptop was fine.

Wish it was still made
This is my favorite all time laptop bag. Large enough to fit even the largest gaming laptops and sturdy enough to take most anything. Mine rode and protected my r17 around the country in a semi truck. Its sling is adjustable and comfortable, its storage is plentiful and secure. You can easily bring drives, controllers, cables and still have room for more

Great Bag
The alienware logo is reason enough to buy this bag. I wish they had more items available for purchase. Good quality, lots of room, well cushioned, lots of pockets and dividers. I can fit my external Terabyte hardrive, my laptop cooler, no problem. I also like the handles and the shoulder strap, this is a nice option to have. Next we need mouse pads, skins and a laptop sleeve just for the logo.

Wish it was easier getting my 20lb PC in and out
The case itself is sturdy enough, and has plenty of pockets, but it is difficult to put my PC in or take it out. After all at 20 lbs these alienware's aren't the lightest of objects. Not sure how rainproof it is either...

Alienware Orion Messenger Bag 17"
WOW what a great bag..It has more pockets than I could EVER use. I bought my son the packback one for his 15" alienware laptop and he could not be happier with it than I am with mine.
Everyone needs this bag for their laptops.
P.S. Just talked my btrother-in-law into buying an Alienware 17" just liked mine. He also bought this bag.
I am retired so I take this with me EVERYWHERE I go.

Not durable
I bought the bag a year or so ago as a school bag, and i've been using it almost everyday to hold my 18in laptop, a note book, and other small things. The nylon hole where the shoulder strap tore and can't be fixed, and I was very surprised and disappointed to see how bad it tore. Also, a few small pieces of my laptop broke off when it fell less than 3 feet on to a carpet floor. Would not recommend, and will not buy this bag type again.

Excellent laptop bag
I found this bag to have more compartments than my last three or four backpacks combined! Not only does it have plenty of storage space, but it is also of remarkable quality. Even though when I have my laptop in the thing it weighs easily 15 pounds, I'm never afraid of the straps breaking. Not in the next couple of years, at least.
The design is sleek and minimal and the extra padding in certain parts make carrying this thing a pleasure. I would totally recommend this bag to anyone looking for a top-mid tier laptop carrier. Ive seen some top-of-the-line bags before, and while this isn't in that category, I will say that it could still compete with some of them.

Nice Bag for a laptop that does not charge battery
If you are buying a M17x, this is a nice bag, but be aware that you are buying a multi-thousand dollar laptop that does not charge its own battery. Problem was known to Dell to exist for at least 8 months before I orded mine. Mine was also shipped with the previous BIOS, even though the new one was available. I have to remove my battery and reinstall to get the battery to charge; and learn about this though Blogs, not thru Dell.
Also, Dell sent me this request for review for the bag, but I don't believe that I got a request to review the laptop itself. I wonder why.
I wonder what other problems I will have? I probably should check the blogs. I bought this laptop for business use, I'n not playing games with it. This will really impress some businessman in China, when I have to take out the battery to switch to AC power.
My order should not have been filled without first notifying me that there were issues with the design, and then let me (the customer decide if I want to go thru the hassle.

Plane/TSA/Travel friendly bag with lots of space!
I use this bag while traveling, carrying:
* 17" alienware
* 15" macbookpro
* Power adaptors for both
* Logitech G700 gaming mouse
* Alienware TachX Headset
* Gaming (stiff) mousepad
This bag easily carries all of these things, comfortably, and fits comfortably on planes.
The hard front cover creates a cavity which prevents your fragile items from being crush. The bag is very well designed, allowing quick and easy access to almost all areas without needing to put the bag down.
The only negatives here are the pocket on the extreme front are basically unusable, and the bag is generally a larger messenger bag.

GREAT Alienware Messenger Bag
Ok, besides the fact that this thing is BULKY as heck. It has enough room to carry my AW M17X R3, plus the gaming chill mat, my mamba razor MMO mouse, AW mousepad, the powerblock, external HDD, my programming book, my notepad, a few pens, my NVIDIA 3d Glasses, earphones for class. And not to mention, the padding, and security scan part for the laptop itself.
Pros: Fits everything nicely.
Cons: Bulky and when everything is in it, weighs like 25lbs and can't fit my turtle beach headset in there lol.

Great Messenger Bag
I would give this bag more stars if I could. The main portion of the bag protects the computer well without any slipping or moving around. The second portion is rather versitile and can hold a second computer. The third section has pockets for pencils, periferals, keys, cell phone, mp3 player and anything else you can think of. There is even a small "vent" for headphones to listen to mp3s on the go. As well there is a signal blocking pocket to silence your cell phone without turning it off.
The quality of the product is amazing and the strap is as comfortable as it can get. I cary roughly 30 lbs of gear in mine and I have never had any problems with discomfort. The only thing I can fault in the design is the mountings for the strap. they are solid but angles straigt up. I cary the bag with the strap crossed my chest to the opposite shoulder. This causes the mounting strap to bunch and the d rings to hang funny. This however doesnt effect the comfort of the product nor does it cause any damage to it. It only effects the look which is why it didn't effect my over all rating.

Big Bag!
This bag is finely crafted with high-quality materials and is bigger than I expected, with plenty of room to hold everything I could possibly need when travelling. This is great because many airlines are allowing only one carryon and can be really unyielding when you try to tell them a computer bag is not a "carryon." I can even use one pocket for spare underwear, toothbrush, etc. I can live in an airport without my PJs, but not without my laptop!

Great space, Extreme look.
This is simply the only case you'll ever need. When it says it provides space, that's an understatement.
First, you notice the black-chrome Alienhead on the front. Coupled with the multiple smoothly-flowing shades of black behind it, you'll have opponents shaking in their shoes the moment you walk in the room.
Then you open it up. Let me say, there are so many pouches for any peripherals needed, it took me a minute to find where the laptop would go. Also, it's got a SafeCheck security sleeve in it, allowing it to go through airline checkpoints with extreme ease.
This Case will have you set for life, with enough room for two laptops on top of space for multiple games, keyboards, or mice.
If you want to show your Alienware prowess, this is the way to do it.

Amazing Bag I love it!
I'm a DJ over 15 years experience and went from a low powered laptop to the highest powered laptop on the market to date. The Laptop from Alienware is bigger than the average 17" Laptop. I had a swiss army back back that barely fit my Alienware. I immediately purchased this bag and its the best investment I've made because I'm literally DJ'ing every weekend. With that said I can comfortably fit my 2 laptops power cords and extra batteries, Ipod and more with ease. If I had an extra thumb I would give it 3 Thumbs up.

Mixed Review
I travel weekly and have to carry 2 laptops. I like the bag a lot. It has lots of room, and I can get it under the seat on the plane.
The issue is durability. I have tried to repair it twice. The strap used to hold the "D" rings on the bag (shoulder strap connectors)have broke loose from the bag.
This is not an industrial strength bag. Would likely work well for a casual / home user.

I bought an Alienware for school and while leaving my fiancee's house, placed my computer in this bag behind my car. I went to lock her door and forgot that I had the bag on the ground behind the car and not yet in my trunk. Then the unspeakable happened...I ran over my computer and dragged it across the driveway and onto the street. I was horrified at what I might find because of the grinding noise I heard from within the car. To my suprise, when I went to get my computer this bag had a few scratches on it and the computer was perfectly fine. No joke...don't hesitate to buy this bag! It literally survived being run over by a car!!!

I purchased this Alienware laptop case after purchasing the Alienware M17x as my old laptop case was not big enough to hold the M17x. I love how the case has a good amount of pouches with plenty of room to spare.

Nice looking bag - Horrible condition
I purchased this bag for my new Alienware Laptop.
The first bag arrived - It had an ugly scratch next to the alien head logo on the front of the bad. Spoke to Dell and got my bag replaced...
Just received the replacement bag today. No scratch, however the netting at the bottom of the front of the bag is torn slightly.
I'm usually not nit-picky but is it so wrong to expect that a $75 bag from Dell would be checked for obvious defects/damage before shipment? I took me less than 2 seconds once I got the bag out of the packing to see the damage.
The bag arrives inside a plastic bag with no damage.. so I can only assume it was like that when shipped.
Terrible, will not buy accessories from Dell again.

A very nice bag
I got this bag to go with my brand new, and incredibly big and heavy, Alienware M15x. It has tons of pockets (including a REALLY cool RF-proof cell phone pocket) for everything under the sun. It appears to be well built with enough padding to protect my laptop investment against just about anything. Finally, it just looks cool, with the dark chrome Alienware logo on the front panel, and other funky stylistic touches. This bag will replace my usual briefcase when I plan to carry my laptop on the road with me.

PROS
Bag offer a lot of space. In terms of storage room the bag is a gem. The TSA friendly envelope is a charm when crossing security chekpoint at airport. I would have rate that bag 5 stars 2 weeks ago.
CONS
My M17xR3 is kinda heavy and I loved the padded shoulder strap on the bag. After less then a month of using it, the sewing on the nylon that hold the strap in place is already broken!
FINAL
I expected a much more durable bag for that price and Im truly desapointed. I dont recommand that bag for any traveler.

Great Bag - Except for the shoulder strap
Really like the layout of this bag and it fits my Alienware M17X laptop well. Biggest complaint would be that the stitching that the shoulder strap attaches to the bag with ripped off only after a handful of uses. Plus this apparently isn't covered under the lifetime warranty either, which is frustrating since that was one of the main reasons why I got this over the backpack.

Not your typical Alienware quality
The bag is decent enough - spacious and padding is sufficient for me to feel comfortable traveling with my gear. I have the Alienware m15x, and it fits very well.
My main issue with the bag is the lack of substantial handles. The flimsy nylon handles are a bit of a joke, considering this is designed by and for Alienware. We all know Alienware laptops are built like a brick house and very heavy. For the high price tag, I would expect more basic functionality with the handles and more padding on the shoulder strap.
Shame on Alienware for overlooking this basic design feature. I do not recommend the product at the current price for this reason.

No Quality
Pros
The bag will easily hold 2 laptops and peripherals.
Cons
No padding for laptops, and poor quality in durability of the bag. Have had my bag for 4 months and already the arm pad is torn off. Also if you plan on carrying more than 1 laptop or traveling a lot you need to buy padding or else your laptops will not last more than a few months.
The design of this bag didn't have the traveler in mind. The bottom and top of the bag offer no protection. So whether your sitting the bag on the ground or sticking it in an over head bin your constantly hitting these area's.
Summary
Only buy if you want it to match your Alienware laptop, do not travel and shop for some padding.

Airport Friendly does work
I have an MX17 and yes I carry it with me. I am also an airline pilot so I can say with no doubt that this airport friendly case works great, even in the UK where they are the most total pain in the rear screeners in the world. Just open the case and send it thru. It even says screener friendly on the inside of the case for the occasional screener who has less than zero common sense. This bag is durable and has enough compartments for virtually all of your computer goodies. All in all you cannot go wrong with this computer case.

Alienware Orion Messenger Bag
This is the best bag I have had to carry a laptop. My other laptop had a 15.6 inch screen also and I hade to stuff it into the case, that was so tight, couldn't hardly get it in or out. No other room for anything else either. This case is big and roomy and holds everything, including paperwork, files, etc. It is very comfortable to wear on your shoulder with the strap and has an easy axis for airport secruity. I think this is the best bag ever, and protects the laptop well!

Great bag but Strap Sucks
Bag is great awesome for laptops up to 17'. Only drawbacks are the shoulder strap needs reinforcing as soon as you take it out of the bag. Make sure you reinforce where the strap attaches to the bag the stitching there is weak if yo uinspect it. Mine ripped within a week and had to send for replacement, Definitely buy it from dell cause of lifetime warranty. also the alien head logo will scuff pretty easy so watch it. other than that best bag on the market IMO.

Great laptop bag
I purchased this with my new Alienware M15x. To my surprise, the laptop bag could fit the Alienware and my old laptop, along with the accessories for them. It saved me a lot of space and hassle with transporting my computer around the place, and it has a sleek, professional look.

Excellente in a Bag!
I use this bag for my laptop everywhere I go. I love the fact that it's easy to clean, and very well padded. My laptop weights a ton due to it's size, and even the strap is super comfey. It was well worth it's price and im glad I purchased it with my original purchase being a first time laptop user.

Surpased my expectations
Last year I bought an Alienwawre M17x I bought a few laptop bags and nothing fit or was very tight. With the wear and tear of the bag I was forced to start looking again for another, I looked for Targus bags and it said that I would have fit my laptop. And when I read reviews about this messenger bag and how it fit the M17x I was sold.
The truth is that this messenger bag is the best, sturdy material that I know it’s going to last for a very long time, it has room for everything and it looks great.
This is truly a great product and would defiantly buy more Alienware products.
Thanks,

Falls apart, didn't honor "limited guarantee"
I purchased this bag to use with my Alienware M17X-R3 (Best laptop I've ever owned!). After three or four months of use, the seams began pulling apart. A call to Dell/Alienware support revealed this defect was not covered, so I was out of luck. Three or four months use for a case like this ($100.00) is inadequate.
I found the shoulder strap dug into my shoulder as well. It was not a comfortable bag to carry this way given the weight of the M17X-R3. I would recommend a bag (back pack maybe?) which better distributes the weight and has better padding in the straps.
On the good side, it is very convenient to use when going through TSA security. unzip and lay it flat. I've never had any problems.

Nice product, bad carrying handles
It holds alot of things and has pockets for everything. The only problem is that the carry handles are not supported, and are uncomfortable when carrying long distances.

Huge...but Great!
It is enormous but then again it has to be to hold the 17" laptop I have. It has a lot of pockets and areas to put stuff. There is a lot of padding too so it seems like it is pretty safe. I am glad I bought it!

Bought this bag to go with my M17x. Great bag, solid build. Holds a laptop securely and has more than enough room to put all your other gadgets you would want/need.

Excellent Bag
This is my second bag of the same type. I wish there was a little more room for other objects since that is how I broke the first one was putting too much items in the bag but this bag really protects your computer.

Poor quality stitching
As mentioned in other reviews, this bag has lots of room and pockets to put your accessories. Also as mentioned in other reviews, the stitching around the d-rings which support the shoulder strap is very poor quality. Within 35 days of light use (only using the bag to carry the M17x the strap broke which dropped the case and caused damage to the laptop.
If you decide to purchase this product for an M17x or for a laptop which is heavier than the M17x, I recommend you make an effort to reinforce the bag to avoid damage to your equipment. This product may be acceptable for lighter equipment.

Great bag, especially for the price
We got this bag to hold an Ailienware M17x laptop and it's perfect. It's well made, well padded, and has just the right amount of space for all the stuff you need for a LAN party, or just to carry around a 17" laptop.

Above Expectations
At first, I was expecting just a typical messenger bag with a few features and enough protection to get my Alienware laptop from point A to point B. Turns out, this messenger bag exceeds my expectations greatly. There are ample enough pockets and storage space to fit a laptop, text book, notebooks, etc. If you are looking for a messenger bag that; is comfortable to carry, protects your valuables from accidents, contains enough space to fit everything you need in it - here it is.

Messenger Bag
If you're a packrat, and who isn't if you have a laptop...this is a GREAT Bag. Lots of pockets, lots of room, and even if you don't put your laptop in it, all the accessories have a nice home, and if you keep it closed, maybe your cat will make his home on top of it, instead of trying to get inbetween you and your kepboard. LOL

Great Bag
The bag is durable and comes with alot of great compartments. I have no problem fitting all of my accessories in the bag. The padding is substantial and the strap is very sturdy and comfortable on the shoulder. The only problem I have is that the top side of the bag becomes heavier than the bottom once I take the laptop out. This is because the heavy ac power adapter stores in one of the top compartments. I have to take the power adapter out before I take out the laptop or the bag will topple over. It's not really a huge problem, but the only one that annoyed me at first. It's really a great bag and I would recommend it to anyone needing a bag.

Worth the Price
I had doubts whe I ordered this. Moreover I wasn't sure about the wisdom of "advertizibg" what's in the bag in public :P
Well it hit my door-step in only a few days. I was literally amazed at the quality and obvious durability built into this product.
Sorry I doubted. I do not regret this purchase at all. I've seen inferior bags at a higher price-point. This bag is worthy of my m15x and all of the other stuff I can and will cram into it!
Build quality is superior to that other brand with the white cross logo...trust me.

This thing is great, with my old laptop bag I struggled to find space to put my various cords and handhelds. Now with this bag, my headphones and everything else I have placed in there fit nicely and I think I still have room to spare. Also, usually I worry about how protected everything is, but with this bag I don't have to worry so much.
My bag toppled over the other day and fell down a couple stairs and everything still look and work fine.
The shoulder strap is also the most comfortable I have ever experienced with minimum pressure on the shoulder for my 17+ pound laptop when other messenger bags leave my shoulder sore after using them for a few minutes carrying less weight.

Money worthy bag
Got a M17X computer for my grandson for Christmas. Looked around for a computer bag but didn't find any that looked like they would offer enough protection for a "pricey" computer. Ordered this bag even though I thought the price was a little steep. Very glad I did. The bag is very well constructed and has more than adequate padding. Holds all his cords, etc. with room to spare. I would say if you get an Alienware computer get this bag - it is worth every penny!
