Works well
I bought it at Best Buy. My old netgear modem wouldn't support my higher speed internet. This one was easy to set up, but it took Spectrum a little extra time and effort to connect.

Netgear Gigabit Cable Modem
The best part of my Netgear Gigabit Cable Modem is the technical support I received over the phone when I encountered problems during installation. The problem ended up not being with the Netgear Modem, rather I needed to contact Xfinity to get the new modem registered on their system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Netgear CM 1000Best cable modem I have ever used it boosted my internet speed and boosted my bandwidth Absolutely no legs with online gaming or 4K streaming and with multiple devices going at the same time I live in an apartment complex and I sell my Wi-Fi to about 10 or 15 of my next-door neighbors and we can all be on streaming at the same time with this cable modem and experience no legs at all it run so smoothly it's unbelievable I am very impressed I had the Arris SB8200 before the netgear cm1000 and the netgear blow the arris out of the water I can't wait for the netgear CM1100 to come out and I can wait until the netgear RAX120 to come out the day there both release together I'm going to buy them both Netgear make some of the best products in the world In my opinion and I have had all kinds of brands makes and models

I chose it for it's new technology, the good reviews, and I wanted one that was certified by my cable provider. It is working flawlessly and everything seems to be faster on my PC when I'm using the internet. I used to have to re-boot my old one all the time to get things going again, but not anymore. The software is very friendly and easy to use. Nice looking unit too.

In order to save $11 in modem rental fees, I bought my own modem. The Xfinity installer came to the house and said I made a good choice and this Docsis 3.1 is the only modem he would recommend. The thing works well and along with the nighthawk router, I'm getting up around 170mbps 50 feet from the wireless router. No issues so far.

Called Comcast, talked to their activation people, submitted new modem MAC address and was online a short time later. No problems to date. I would recommend this modem.

Used the Netgear WiFi analytics app to find the best spot to plug in the EX7500. Moved the EX7500 to various places in house including the backyard deck and each time it synchronized on the net within1 minute. The EX7500 is managing both 2.4GHZ and 5.0GHZ devices. I have use Netgear Genie to monitor the status of the EX7500. Overall a good investment as a tech upgrade for your home network.

It which will allow me to take full advantage of any speed changes in speed when Comcast implements the change as planned in about 9 months from 3.0 to 3.1. I was told this when I asked a Comcast tech if it was necessary to have a 3.1 modem prior to purchasing my CM1000.

Our old modem (Motorola SB6120) had become obsolete and wasn't allowing us to experience the full 250 Mbps Comcast plan we were paying for. Enter the NETGEAR CM1000 modem. This modem gives us a little more speed than the plan we're on. We consistently get 253 Mbps download and 12 Mbps upload. Besides that, it's a DOCIS 3.1 modem, so we're good to go if we ever wish to increase our Internet plan.

Was a bit challenging to set up with my existing Orbi wifi mesh network. Setup required multiple phone calls to Comcast and Orbi support. After set-up connections are much faster overall and I no longer see the slowness we used to see with multiple wifi connections. Would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their network.

It was easy to set up as long as call Comcast first, deregister the old modem, have them register the new CM1000 and it is just like "plug and play".I think this modem will stay awhile with me as it is already DOCSIS 3.1.So far, so good, no overheating noticed and my download speed has increased threefold.

Got my Netgear CM1000 and called to activate. Had it running by the end of the phone call and now I have a modem to handle many more speed updates in the future!

Once powered on, you will need to contact your ISP so that your ISP registers and authorizes your device with your service plan. Once done, you'll start receiving your internet service. Word of advice, get a wireless router (I'm going with Google Wifi). This modem only has coax connection and one network cable port. It will only be able to assign a single ip address without a router, which means one device online at a time. You may also want to get a good network switch if you have a lot of devices that you'd like to hardwire.

I had problems in the beginning that was because I had not properly power cycled the modem. I called Netgear and they were superbly helpful ! Once I had it powercycled it has worked like a charm and I get the best speeds as checked by online speed checkers.

The AC1900 is quick, but I wasn’t getting the full speed I am paying for. After I replaced it with the Netgear CM1000v2 I get every bit of the speed I pay for, even with the recent abundance of internet usage I still get great speed and no interruptions.

Found out there was a class action lawsuit against Arris on this unit but they continue to sell it. I was having all kinds of problems in the house with anything that used the internet and spent a lot of time trying to find out why. I was paying for 300 gbps and only seeing less then one third of that. Changed out to this new Netgear Docsis 3.1 , CM1000v2 modem and my speeds jumped to 300 and over. No more Arris modems for me ever again. And I will be dumping the Arris modem in my other home as well. Netgear rocks !!!!!

I've had the CM1000 for 3 months now and I've had no issues with it. It was very easy to set up and my Orbi router works perfectly with it. I highly recommend this modem.

I really actually want the Motorola 3.1, but the Netgear is very interactive and it's taught me a lot with the week we've spent together. The truth is, I'm not even sure if broadband is truthfully capable of transmitting my 1gig internet, but I will continue to remain loyal with Spectrum to the very end. Thank you.

I tried both and my average speed DOUBLED. It was a nice surprise and totally justified the investment. I download games way faster, all 4K content works flawlessly and my connectivity to work is more stable. Highly recommend this modem.

Another great feature is Im saving a rental fee from my internet provider. Netgear has thought this through and look forward to using more Netgear products in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and stableBought a CM1000 because I upgraded my Comcast Internet service to 1Gbps and Comcast salesman recommended it. It turns out a right decision. I always got a downlink speed > 650Mbps and uplink speed > 30Mbps.

Paired with a Nighthawk router all my devices are running faster than ever and I don't have to rent any equipment! 15 devices connected on average and none of them ever slow down. If you have or are considering comcast, don't rent their equipment, buy this CM1000 and enjoy the speed you pay for!

I 2GB speed through Xfinity and it will go well over that with a direct connection but when with the router still well over recommended to anyone ten times over another quality product by netgear !!!

Works as designed and is ready for the coming deployment of Gig speed from xfinity and others. Really happy with it and feel this helps future proof me for a couple of years. A good investment. Compared to renting a modem from xfinity, this thing pays for itself in less than 2 years!

If you want a modem that meets all the latest standards and can handle any of your future needs this is a good choice with it hitting all the requirements for Gigabit Cable Modem (32x8) with DOCSIS 3.1. No latency with this modem that I had with my previous DOCSIS 3.0 modem.
