Great Active DP Converter
This is an active adapter converter the transforms the digital DisplayPort (DP) signal from your computer to an analog VGA signal for a monitor, projector or TV. Becomes very useful while traveling with your laptop or any other device that has a full size DP (no miniDP) but no VGA output; this adapter is sturdy

Good DP to HDMI 1' Adapter
Good for those non-active DP to HDMI scenarios. We buy this product when available. Can't go wrong and then even have a smaller version so 6" Adapter/cable is available too.

VGA adapter works but is not the best
The DPCD (DisplayPort Configuration Data) reported by the DP2VGA3 says it is DisplayPort 1.1, 2.7 Gbps per lane, 2 lanes. I guess StarTech is allowed to claim DisplayPort 1.2 since DisplayPort 1.1 is part of 1.2? Some other VGA adapters use DisplayPort 1.2, 5.4 Gbps per lane, 2 lanes but they may use a USB-C c

Becomes very useful while traveling with your laptop or any other device that has a full size DP (no miniDP) but no VGA output; this adapter is sturdy build will support accidental falls. The materials feel good at touch, we have test them in a manufacturing environment for legacy monitors and had no issues whatsoever.

I guess StarTech is allowed to claim DisplayPort 1.2 since DisplayPort 1.1 is part of 1.2? Some other VGA adapters use DisplayPort 1.2, 5.4 Gbps per lane, 2 lanes but they may use a USB-C connector. Maybe StarTech could make a DisplayPort male to USB-C female adapter so I can use these other faster VGA adapters or any other USB-C display port adapters. I would prefer adapter makers to report max pixel clock at 24 bits per pixel in order to make it easier to compare adapters. They should also report the pixel types they support.
