Tripp Lite's INTERNET550U standby UPS offers complete protection for PCs, workstations and other sensitive electronics in an attractive ultra-compact, mountable housing. Prevents data loss and system downtime by providing battery supported AC output during brownouts and blackout conditions. 8 widely spaced output receptacles accommodate large transformer plugs without blocking outlets. 4 outlets with full battery support and surge suppression protect computers, monitors and other vital system components from loss of power. 4 additional outlets with surge suppression-only are ideal for printers and other accessories not requiring battery support. Single line telephone suppression jacks protect modem, fax machine, cordless phone or other peripherals with a standard dialup or DSL phone line connection. USB port with PowerAlert monitoring software and cabling enables safe unattended system shutdown in the case of extended power failure. HID compliant USB interface enables full integration with built-in power management and auto shutdown features of Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Audible alarm and front panel LEDs offer status information regarding line and battery power operation. 550VA / 300 watt power handling ability supports entry-level PCs for up to 17 minutes during power failures.

          I would buy this product again for sure!
          This product I use for a bms system hooked onto emergency power and during that switch onto backup power it runs the bms system perfectly so major equipment can run still!

          Perfect backup for router and modem
          That this has a replaceable battery makes it the perfect UPS for my application. Prevents Internet drops during power interruptions and surges.

IT DIDN'T GET FIGURED OUT UNTIL I TOOK THE TIME TO CALL. I FELT LIKE I SHOULD HAVE GOT AN EMAIL NOTIFYING ME OF THE PROBLEM BUT I DIDN'T.

It has prevented computer damage due to small power fluctuations that would cause my computer to shut down. It also safely shuts down your computer if it is left unattended during a sustained power outage. A very valuable feature is if you have have phone service through a cable company you can maintain phone service for a long period if the power is out in an emergency situation.

The error was with our purchasing department not verifying the amount of wattage we needed for the battery back up side. Customer service went over every item we had plugged into the battery backup side and within minutes found that there was too much voltage plugged in. I was able to immediately fix my problem. Thank you to your customer service for friendly, and prompt help. My Tripp-Lite works wonderfully.
