Rated 5 out of 5 byDB From NC from Built Like a TankAfter suffering through a lightning strike over a year ago and losing a ton of equipment, I equipped the house with Tripplite surge protection equipment. The HT10DBS is an absolute tank in it's construction and seems like it would halt just about anything...though it hasn't been tested with a real strike. The only thing that prevents me from given this a full 5 stars is that they need to up their ethernet ports to a full gigabit (1000MBS), else your new networking equipment is slowed to a measly 100MBS.

They have saved my audio and video to my PC and WI-fi . I have owned them for years and only had one problem with one of them. that was when we had a direct lightning hit out side my home on my farm. it exploded a huge oak tree and took out the phone line in on the tripp lite HT10DBS. "I would love to show the tree but i cant find anywhere to upload a photo" I contacted tripp-lite and told them about the situation and they were very courteous and got me a new one on the way. I highly recommend this product.

One time I had a unit which was no longer providing surge suppression and Tripp Lite replaced it for free. The ones I have are of metal construction and well built. This particular model comes with a $500,000 lifetime insurance à I have never had a needed to use these policies thankfully. Recommended.

Unfortunately the equipment I had in a bedroom was unprotected and did not survive. This new one will protect my new TV and DVD player. I highly recommend this product.

I have seven pieces of equipment so the eight outlets on this strip is the perfect size. A year or so after I began using it my house was hit by a power spike. I had an old tube tv in my kitchen that got fried but everything plugged into this protector was fine. The protector still worked, but I could smell a faint scent of burning wire insulation. I called TrippLite and the arranged to send me a replacement with no questions and no hassle. I didn't even need to send the burned out one back. That's much more than I expected and has made me loyal to the TrippLite brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 byGeoff4RFC from Does a decent job on the small sideWhen I first received my HT10DBS, I was running a 50" Plasma, a midrange AVR, BRP and two low end subs. It worked beautifully but most noticeably was an enhanced picture from the Plasma, even my wife noticed it, asking me what "tweak" I had done. As my set up increased, I moved up to a high end sub and added a power amp. Now with the amp and the AVR connected to the HT10, I got some line hum. If I put them at opposite ends of the bar, it would minimize the hum but it was still there. I ended up getting two more amps for my set up now running 3 amps and an AVR and 2 high end subs. What I ended up having to do was get a second bar, one from the "amp" company that could handle several high current components. It's been near 6 years since my purchase of the HT10 and I still continue to use it in my set up. I like the fact that it can be rack mounted, very convenient! It has served me well and has earned a spot in my rack for life.

I wanted to protect my son's expensive computer and my Plasma Tv's. I bought this HT10DBS for my son's computer and an Eco surge TLP121OSATG for my 60 inch plasma and two Super7 surge protectors for smaller Tv's. Yes, we did get many lightning strikes and power outages. Talking to neighbors, many lost several electronic items do to surges, but ours remained fine. I not only believe that Tripp-Lite saved our electronics but I gave Tripp-Lite info to all my neighbors and they were grateful. Thanks again.
