Tripp Lite's SS7415-15 four-foot power strip with AC surge suppression offers a convenient method of horizontal or vertical power distribution in equipment racks, computer rooms, workbenches, raceways and more. Includes 16 NEMA 5-15R output receptacles with 2.717 inch center-to-center spacing, 15 foot AC line cord and adjustable mounting clips for installation in a wide variety of applications. Protects connected equipment from transient surges and line noise with built in surge suppression rated at 450 joules. Corded, multi-outlet strip reduces cabling clutter and enables the connection of multiple electrical devices to a single AC wall socket. Features rugged all-metal housing, lighted power switch with transparent guard to prevent accidental shutoff, 15 amp resettable circuit breaker and attractive gray housing with black output receptacles.

It is indeed rated 1650 joules (as noted in the literature located inside the box), not 400 joules like some sites state online. Very nice construction. This was my first Tripplite purchase and I have already bought a second smaller one after seeing how nice it was. Second Tripplite was also very nice in a totally different model. My home office and entertainment area equipment are both well protected now and organized. I'll most likely need to buy another one in the future for other uses and when that time comes, I'll be ordering another TrippLite for sure.

This product accommodates all of the inputs I have running and I have 3 left over for expansion or any additions.....all neatly spaced. On top of that, everything is protected with a 15amp breaker coupled with surge protection. There is nothing else anyone would need. Bravo for such a great product that is super easy to install.

We did have two 16 port powerstrips with no surge protection that constantly triped our breakers. The SS715-15's 15 foot cord reaches nicely to the middle of the room. The strip is long enough for two rows of people to plug into if needed. The outstanding features are the power switch cover to prevent accidental shut off and the surge protection which guards against tripped breakers and blown fuses. We bought one to test with and then went on to purchase 8 more.

It's thin, but provides adequate room between outlets. No longer do I have to pick where devices get plugged into based on plug size, or run absolutely everything to one side of the shelves. It's great, there isn't any overcrowding, and access remains easy. I liked it so much I got a slightly smaller unit for the same application in a different location.

I do wish they'd swivel so you could orient power plugs if needed, but the outlets are already spaced so far apart it's not really an issue. Nice build quality too and the surge and power indicators are a nice touch.

The circuit protection is a great feature and the long power cord eliminates the need for an extension. The products seem quite durable and work well.

The outlets are spaced so that I can put transformer power supply's in adjoining plugs with out them covering adjacent plugs. I am vary happy with it. So happy that I bout one for my friend and she is happy with hears. If you have allot of stuff to plug in this is it.
