Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice for a tight spaceI like the 4 foot cord on this surge protector. In a tight space, the heavy cords can make a surge supressor unweildy. This was a great solution for us ....7 outlets in a small area. While I've [thankfully] never had a claim, Tripp Lite's registration process was quite professional and gives me confidence that they'll back their products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Economical, well made surge protectorI have been very pleased with this unit. In particular, having the plug on the end orientated 90 degrees from the other outlets helps situate larger plugs nicely. The only downside, which was more based on my misinterpretation of the product description made is sound like the wall plug was a low profile wall hugger style, and it is a standard plug. If I could, I'd say 4.5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from useful surge protectorThe layout of each plug in gives the fit for maximum number of plugs unless you use the square plug from gaming device or mobile phone devices. I have not had a surge to test it out if the manufacturer claim what they claimed for this thing to do. This winter, when I have to use my portable heater of 1500 W rate, I plan to have on the low side, hopefully it won't trip it, though I tested the heater in the spring time when the weather was still nippy. I had the heater on for about 1/2 hour run on continuously, I didn't see any tripping. I would recommend this for the way the outlets are laid out because many other strip protectors have the outlets face each other so the other end of the same plug takes up the space of the next outlet so you loose an outlet to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Choose Tripp-Lite b/c they stand behind their warrantiesYears ago when I bought my first power strip/surge protector for my computer, I did some research and saw more than one review on different websites, that Tripp Lite stands behind their warranties better than most of the other big names, including one that starts with "B." Ever since Tripp Lite is the only brand I buy. This one's for my entertainment center. The "outlets" turned 90 degrees to the typical orientation is why I chose this one for that spot.
