Works great
Love that this dock has a small footprint and can be hidden on my desk very easily. I do wish it had more display port options.

Great Product with a variety of ports!
Absolutely love it! I bought this because I needed a docking station for film school and this one had the best reviews! It's easy to use and I've had no problems what so ever. I'd recommend this to anyone. Only wish it came in some cooler colors.

I plan to buy another one for home
This docking station is small but packs a heavy punch. I can connect all my devices and have dual screens with my laptop or cell. It's also compact for traveling. Additionally no addition power cords required!

Best in expensive dock there is.
How easy is this to setup? I mean its a rhetorical question. This is the easiest setup ever with just plug and play. Best MAC dock you can use for the money. Has plenty of options and it even works with your existing psu.

Not Bad - Single Monitor Support
The cable on the dock is too short. Would be better if it was at least a couple of feet long. Love that it's "plug-&-play" - no drivers or software needed. Bring on multiple (at least two) monitor support, and this would be an excellent docking station!

Great solution for docking with 1 cable
This is a great way to just pick it up and go after using it at a desktop, one usb c cable is all it takes including power pass through.

Excellent implementation of USB Type-C DP1.2 Alt. Mode
Great USB Type-C DP1.2 Alt. Mode dock with PD pass through. Works at resolutions above what is published in specifications. Cable is a bit short and they really should have $RP on web site.

This adapter works with 30-inch Cinema Display.
My customer bought 2017 MacBook Pro 15-inch and he wanted to use his 30-inch Cinema Display. This TrippLite adapter has a mini DisplayPort and it is 4K. I figured it may work. I tried it with Apple Dual-Link adapter and 30-inch Cinema Display. Voila! Full 2560x1600 full resolution.

So far, so good
I have all of my MacBook Pro accessories (headset, keyboard, mouse, display, Ethernet) plugged into it. Easy setup - just plug and go. My only concern is that it runs quite hot - worried about how long it will last.

Very small piece of equipment that does a whole lot. It allows my new MacBook Pro to connect to my old Thunderbolt Display, which saved me $1k.

Thunderbolt needed!!!
Why make an adapter with MDP and not Thunderbolt? I know you can use the Apple Dual-Link adapter for just another mere $100 for every adapter we already purchased! Come on, why should I need another expensive adapter to hang off of this one? If you want to travel with it and have it work with Apple monitors, forget about it, after the two adapters are hooked together it is huge and has wires everywhere. Then you have to explain to all the end users why they need to daisy chain adapters and how it will now only work at there desk. Do you just have another adapter that actually has Thunderbolt? Our company would have no problem paying the extra cost just to avoid this. Yes, as someone else said the cable is also too short.

The size and the setup is really nice. The only flaw is that it gets way too hot. So I unplugged it and view it as a learning experience.

Not so great.
Can't say I am overly impressed with this docking station. My drives continually eject randomly. I can't say I am 100% certain it is the docking station, but they did not do this on my previous computer without this device. The cord is very short at just 5 inches as well preventing me from having it in a comfortable position in my workspace.

Great for adding more drives to your Laptop
The dock works fine for connecting more drives to my laptop. I'm also using the LAN connection. Everything works fine except when I connect an external DVD drive to the dock. There doesn't seem to be enough power from the dock to operate external DVD drive so I must connect the external DVD drive directly to my laptop.

Doesn't Work if Used Continuously
If the charger is plugged in to dock for few hours continuously & if the dock isn't plugged into the machine then the dongle doesn't work unless if you remove the power cord from it for some time.

not what i expecetd
Be extra careful before purchasing this device. It is awesome mainly because of all necessary connections in one nice package BUT, except for the USB ports, nothing else is plug & play. I tried the VGA, HDMI and MDP ports. Each time you had to plug a monitor and then reboot the Macbook before the monitor is recognized. I have yet to try multi-monitor but from what i understand that is NOT supported.
The only bright side is the support, I called them a few times and found them to be very responsive, knowledgeable and willing to help.

This product has great features, but could use improvement on design.
The product has great features and works as it should. I do feel this unit is a little more expensive than most and the materials could be a little nicer. The main issue I have is the cable that plugs into the computer could be a little longer. If you want to hide the replicator behind your laptop at your desk, there is not a lot of cable to do so.
