The SRWO8U22 SmartRack 8U/12U/22U Expandable Flat-Pack Low-Profile Switch-Depth Wall-Mount 2-Post Open-Frame Rack stores and organizes EIA-standard 19-inch rack equipment compatible with 2-post mounting in network wiring closets, back offices and other secure IT areas with limited floor space where a locked enclosure is not required. Mounted to the wall or resting on the floor, this rack offers fast, easy access to network components and cabling.

Constructed from heavy-duty steel with a durable black powder-coated finish, the rack has a maximum load capacity of 68 kgs (150 lbs.) The expandable design allows you to assemble the rack in an 8U, 12U or 22U configuration to meet your current needs, while leaving rack space in reserve for future expansion.

The rack is simple to assemble and mount to the wall. Threaded 12-24 mounting holes and numbered rack spaces make equipment installation easy. The vertical mounting rails accommodate equipment up to 18 inches deep, such as network switches and patch panels. Assembly and equipment-mounting hardware is included.

Easy to build, Can handle 8/12/22RU
First time using one of these and I will say building it was quite simple and straightforward. It can handle multiple configurations so it a great product for future expansion.

I would buy this product again!
Great small mount rack for single panel use. Had to put this in an new construction apartment building and it was great. Small out of the way and easy to use and assemble.

Easy and Flexible
This rack is an amazing product. Three different sizes in one box. It can be an 8u, 12u, or 22u. Good instructions on how to put it together in any size you wish. I will be purchasing this product again.

I would buy this product again
I'm trying to find a simple and quick network rack to put in a restaurant office. The rack I purchased seems to do the trick - lightweight and nothing I dont' need. We do need to occasionally power cycle equipment and this will give the manager on site the ability to do so not having sides or a door. This rack

Check the Welds, but Otherwise a Good Rack
I've used these a few times. The last one came with very poor welds on the top bracket, but Tripp Lite replaced the entire rack without a fight. I've heard of similar weld issues from other users. Before the rack is mounted to the wall, it will not be square, so you must carefully measure out the mounting ancho

Needs stronger supports
The rack does what it's is suppose to do, holds equipment. I do think the two side braces don't hold the unit as rigid as it should be and will be adding some heavier / more supports.

Before the rack is mounted to the wall, it will not be square, so you must carefully measure out the mounting anchor locations and then force the rack onto the anchors to square it up. If you check the welds and can handle the task of carefully measuring the anchor locations, it's a good rack for a great price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and qualityI purchased this for a home rack I built for a home hub. It came in a small box and after a few minutes of assembly I had it together. Mounting on the wall was easy (if you are a handy kind of person) otherwise get someone who knows how to do it. You don't want your rack falling after you add components.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is what it is...For the price it's about what I expected. I didn't find any major flaws that would keep me from buying it again. The machining isn't perfect, the threaded holes are rough and take a bit of force at points, I stripped an assembly screw out putting it together. The threading on the rails is pretty rough and takes some force as well but nothing so hard it stripped. The gauge of steel is sturdy enough to satisfy me. It's nice that it comes with a couple dozen screws for equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very ImpressedThis frame rack is exactly what I was looking for. I didn't need it enclosed, and I didn't want to pay a fortune for something that would be sturdy. This rack definitely exceeded my expectations. Setup and mounting was not an issue. The instructions are detailed, easy to read, and included clear picture diagrams. The structure is very thick metal. I have no qualms about it holding up. My only complaint was that some of the front mounting screws (to screw in your devices) did not fit perfectly in the holes. Screwing them in was impossible without an impact driver. However, once I used the impact driver, I am confident that they will hold. I am currently using only 3 switches mounted in the 12U configuration, but the capacity is much greater. I highly recommend this rack.
