What is our primary use case? Our primary use case for Power Automate is mainly extracting data from regulators' and government websites. We have executed numerous projects, with a major one being the data extraction from these websites. What is most valuable? One of the most valuable features of Power Automate is its ability to extract text from a website. The capability to navigate different pages using click buttons is also crucial. We have saved thousands of hours by automating tasks that would have been labor-intensive and error-prone if done manually. This automation has significantly reduced human errors, allowing us to avoid such issues more effectively. What needs improvement? Power Automate could be improved by adding an internal fuzzy lookup or fuzzy match feature. This addition would enhance the tool's utility. For how long have I used the solution? I have been working with Power Automate for the last three and a half years. How are customer service and support? I usually reach out to the Microsoft Power Automate community for support. Sometimes it has worked, but other times it hasn't, as Power Automate is a relatively new tool. There needs to be more support documentation and videos that could be more helpful. However, having experience with coding is essential to fully utilize Power Automate. How would you rate customer service and support? Negative Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? We started off with UiPath, but Power Automate's desktop version is easier to use and more user-friendly. Additionally, since Power Automate is part of the Microsoft ecosystem, it integrates well with the other Microsoft tools we use. What was our ROI? Power Automate is cost-effective. It has helped us save time, and we've saved thousands of hours through automation. Which other solutions did I evaluate? I used UiPath previously. What other advice do I have? The community around Power Automate is quite helpful, however, there's a need for more comprehensive support documentation and videos. However, in the end, having coding experience is crucial. What is our primary use case? Our primary use case for Microsoft Power Automate is in the direction of citizen developers, mainly small automations built by business people themselves. We also use it for automations in finance departments with Power Apps. How has it helped my organization? Hyperautomation strategies are built around UiPath and Microsoft Power Platform, improving service delivery. It is easy to learn for business users, facilitating quick setup of automations. What is most valuable? Microsoft Power Automate is a no-code platform which is very easy to learn, allowing businesses to build their own small automations. Templated flows enhance automation capabilities, and document understanding is also highly valuable. The integration with AI in process automation is anticipated. What needs improvement? The licensing model could be improved to make it easier to understand and follow, as it is difficult to determine if the embedded license provides all functionalities or if additional licenses are needed. For how long have I used the solution? I have been working with Microsoft Power Automate since 2020, about four years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? Once you know how to build automations and bypass limitations, they are stable and work correctly. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Microsoft Power Automate is best suited for citizen developers. Managing it at the enterprise level with more complex business processes can be more challenging. How are customer service and support? I am satisfied with Microsoft's customer support as we are a partner and receive fast responses. How would you rate customer service and support? Positive How was the initial setup? The setup requires time for configuration and may require an administrator. It is time-consuming. What was our ROI? Our customers have seen return on investment with Microsoft Power Automate. However, it's important to consider licensing limitations to avoid high costs. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? Costs depend on the automation complexity. Licensing can be based on per user or per flow, with the potential for high costs if not carefully managed. The cost for licensing can increase due to licensing fees. Which other solutions did I evaluate? When evaluating, it depends on needs. UiPath is more mature for enterprise-level automation but more expensive, while Microsoft Power Automate is a good start for small automations and for those already using Microsoft products. What other advice do I have? I recommend trying Microsoft Power Automate. It is a low-code platform and is easy to learn, allowing quick start to automation. I'd rate the solution eight out of ten. What is our primary use case? Our clients utilize Power Automate for data collection and management in various ways. One primary use is integrating Customer Engagement (CE) with finance, operations, or other business systems. Additionally, we employ Power Automate to facilitate additional processes, such as automating workflows. What needs improvement? Firstly, enhancing Power Automate to work synchronously instead of asynchronously would eliminate the need for additional coding, saving time in project implementation. Secondly, addressing the limitations on the number of processes in Power Automate tracking would enhance its usability and flexibility for various scenarios. Incorporating a more intuitive user interface or experience would be beneficial for overall solution implementation. While PowerApps can provide this to some extent, it faces limitations, particularly with large datasets. Overcoming these challenges through enhancements or optimization would be valuable for implementing enterprise-class solutions effectively. For how long have I used the solution? We have been using Microsoft Power Automate for 2 years. What do I think about the stability of the solution? I rate the platform's stability an eight out of ten. What do I think about the scalability of the solution? Certain limitations apply to product scalability in enterprise environments or critical systems. We work with medium-sized businesses. How was the initial setup? The deployment time depends on specific project requirements. Complicated configurations take three to four months to complete, while certain simple projects can be completed within two weeks. I rate the process an eight out of ten. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? When we purchase the Microsoft Dynamics license, the Power Automate license is often free, albeit with some limitations, such as a certain number of transactions per user. Given the substantial allocation provided, this arrangement typically suffices for most users. However, if premium features are desired or the project demands exceed the allocated resources, additional charges may apply accordingly. I rate the pricing a six out of ten. What other advice do I have? One of the automations we've implemented with Power Automate that significantly saves time involves discount application on quotations. When a discount is applied at the quotation level, we utilize it to automatically apply line-level discounts to the respective lines, distributing them equally. The feature most useful for integrating different applications is its ability to create flows. Specifically, we use flows to integrate with finance and operations. The cloud-based nature of Power Automate has greatly benefited our workflows. It operates exclusively on the cloud, eliminating the need for on-premises deployment. It enables low-code development, eliminating the need to create plugins. It saves a significant amount of time, reduces efforts, and enhances reliability in our automation processes. I rate it an eight out of ten. If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use? What is our primary use case? Microsoft Power Automate has helped one of my clients to update a SharePoint list automatically. There was no need to open the SharePoint list every time and update it. Instead, a flow that runs and updates it. What is most valuable? The most valuable feature of the solution is that it easily integrates with Azure DevOps. What needs improvement? We need to buy a premium license for Microsoft Power Automate because some features are only available for premium licenses. It would be really helpful if Microsoft offered some premium features in the standard version. Instead of bringing everything to the standard version, it would be really helpful if Microsoft classified one or two important things as standard, which are regularly worked upon. Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch? Our company decided to use Microsoft products, including Microsoft Power Automate, due to factors such as widespread usage across the globe, ease of access, and simplified licensing. How was the initial setup? The initial setup process involves three trigger points. One is a manual trigger, where users interact with a button or interface element to start the flow. The second is the recurrence trigger, which allows users to schedule automated maintenance at a specific time. Third is a data-driven trigger, where the flow is initiated based on an event in a database, such as creating a new line item in SharePoint database. Once triggered, the flow continues to execute, performing the configured actions and providing the results. What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing? There is a per-user licensing model for individual users, which typically costs around $10 to $12 per user per month. If purchasing for a team, the cost per person may be slightly lower, around $9 to $10 per user per month.
