Alan B. Weiss
Vice President, Residency Sales
Alan Weiss is vice president of residency sales for CDW. Weiss is responsible for the success of CDW’s Residency Program, which supports all sales business units and provides account managers with the foundation necessary to successfully launch their career as IT sales and services professionals.
Weiss joined CDW in 1991 as an account manager and has held various positions of increasing responsibility in the sales and marketing departments. Weiss served as sales manager for CDW beginning in 1994 and played a pivotal role in the creation of the company’s first outbound division in 1995. He is also credited with initiating the company’s network specialist team in 1998 and the first pre-sales and technical sales specialist teams in 1999. In 2000, Weiss was promoted to sales director and continued his focus on enhancing CDW’s ability to design enterprise class solutions. In 2003, Weiss served as senior director of product management in CDW’s marketing department, where he oversaw all aspects of the company’s product marketing and partner development groups. In 2006, Weiss was promoted to vice president of the Central region and held this position through 2016.
Weiss earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin.
